I am a seasoned web developer that is looking to get in with a fresh startup (as developer, CTO, IT Director, etc). The start up I am currently with was just sold to a Fortune 500, and as I don`t think I would fit in well with the corporate suits, I am looking for my next fling.

I live in the Cincinnati area, but am willing to telecommute. Anyone looking for an entrepreneurial-minded web developer?

One thing I would recommend is looking at the yearly <insert name of city> Business Journal `Book of Lists` at your local Library for contact leads.  Not only is this helpful for locating startups but also Venture Capital firms that can point you in the right direction of startups that are looking for employees.

You can purchase one on-line here:

Aaron,
Great tip! I will definitely look into getting that list. My recent journey into the world of entrepreneurship has shown me that networking and self-promotion are really important tools if you wish to open yourself up to new opportunities.

As I am sure you know, us web developers have a unique advantage in this arena because the Internet provides an amazing array of possibilities for getting your name out and in front of relevant people. Lists like the one you metioned are also great because they should allow me to target my "self-promotion campaign" to specific companies that I feel I would work well in.

Again, thanks for the tip!
