My name is ryan and i live in new port richey florida, i love the idea of the american dream and business world and have various ideas to start something up.

i am 20 years old, just started my own bank account (have not yet gotten a credit card) and i have about 13,000$ saved up in cash.

i have VARIOUS amounts of licensed cosmotologist friends that have worked at many salons and have a bunch of experience.

i dont know the proper procedures or if there are any reading materials i should pick up on credit or banking or business in general.

im sorry i am a noob but i need some advice.

Hi ryan!

All you need to go the bank where you opened your account. Get to the helpdesk ask about the formalities. If they sounds good enough to you, fill the form and you have your credit card in 7-10 business days (if you don't have any bad credit)

Hello Ryan, I don't want to discourage you, but I would just make sure you really understand all that goes into starting and maintaining a business. Do your cosmetologist friends have the clientele to support your fledgling salon? Do you have a location outfitted with the right equipment? If not, how do you intend to make the start-up capital you'll need for everything required to just get you started and the monthly payments that follow? It would probably be a good idea to invest in some salon management software to keep track of and manage your appointments (I use SalonBooker's salon management software myself) otherwise that will be another constant responsibility that falls on your shoulders. You'll also have to consider how you'll be paying your employees. Will they be independent contractors, or do you plan to pay them a salary? There are a LOT of things to consider before you open a salon, and at present it doesn't seem like you have all the resources you'll need. I don't tell you this to discourage you but to prepare you! Good luck Ryan, with hard work and dedication you can make your salon happen.
