I have several years of experience in web development/design and database programming. As a result I decided to put my extensive skill sets to use and branch out to create a very useful online survey/feedback product called House My Data, which is very similar to Survey Monkey.

This packaged product is ready for the market. I just need a partner to handle the sales/marketing/business development end of things. This is a ground up opportunity. Meaning that they will be out in the field initially cold calling, scheduling/conducting sales meetings, handling press releases, and any other marketing and advertising functions. There is no upfront compensation as the will be a partner earning 50% of the company's profit. Any suggestions on how to find a partner in the Raleigh, NC area?

 A few things:

With no up front compenstation you don't get to tell someone what they'll be doing. They can buy a competing product for resell and do as they please without you in the mix.

Why would someone partner with you on a percentage of profit basis when you could run the business in a way that leaves the company declaring no profits to be shared?

If you offer 50% to a partner and that person does no work what will you have left to offer to the next partner?

Try putting up the opportunity in craigslist as many commission based marketers check that site. But the ones who work purely on commission would need a product with some kind of reputation / brand value.
