I will be starting up an LLC with two business partners. We are not sure how to divide up the salary and profits. Three of us will equally own the company. When there is a profit, we are thinking of equally dividing it amongst the three of us (33.3%); however, we are not sure what to do with the salary. One of us will most likely be more involved in the business (due to location). How should payouts work?

Its good, that one of your partner is involved more in the business. I business there should be one member to be more active. Now its your partner's mutual understanding what percentage they share in the net income.
