Well Girl, you did it!

It`s off and running and it looks like we have a book club started. Good job!  I will definitely be participating and will see you guys on Monday. And welcome to everyone. I`m sure we will all learn from this read as well as each other. I look forward to all of the suggested reads in the future.

Say, isn`t it funny when a book comes along that is totally relevant to some questions you`ve been asking yourself?

I think it was Daniel (frndchps) who quoted in another thread the old saying "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear..."

Was anyone else drawn in by the introduction to chapter 2? Did you just have to read it?

Are there any thoughts on the "Law of Attraction" theory vibrating within this book? Feels like no so much "if you buildit they will come.." but more so much like if you feel it, believe it, trust in it, know it, well then, it will be.

Happy Monday! Let`s open the discussions!

Beautifulpetunia...I thought the same thing about the book.  It very timely for some of the questions I`ve been asking myself and also for where my life is at this point.  I think there`s a lot of power in the idea that if you are conscious of your attitude, it can have a huge impact on what you can accomplish.  And, I find it to be very true.

BTW, I was drawn in by chapter 2 also...

Isn`t it also interesting that the book was written in 1938! Wow!

Yes Becky! It is quite ironic that this book, almost 80 years old, with all of its old fashioned precepts, still had complete relevance and sitckability!

(Although I did get a kick out of translating some of the fortunes noted into 2006 bucks! )

Hey Guys!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

That is the exact reason why I thought this would be a good read. It is very much so relevant in these times. When reading, I just get blown away as to how much it relates to my life and the things that I could change if I just had the desire and faith in whatever I was trying to accomplish. This book has had a great impact on me. My thought process has changed and so has my fortune (whether emotionally or financially).

Has any one found the secret? If so, in what chapter did you find it?

Hummm...I`m think that the "secret" is 1.) being *ready* to persue what you want 2.) having the will to carry it out through postive thinking and not quitting no matter what...

What does everyone else think?
