We all like to hear great ideas that have moved websites from unknown to PR1 or PR2. I`d like to hear from the SEO folks about some of their great SEO successes.

I`ll start with one. We just started working with a local photographer who wants to be on the first page when people search for wedding photographers in her town. When we started, we couldn`t find the site in the first 5 pages of Google.

We made some additions and modifications to the site content, navigation, keywords, started a blog and within just a few weeks, she has gone from unknown to a PR2.

We still have some external/internal links to build and with those, we`ll see her rank even higher. She moves up a few slots each week, and I expect when we are done to be on the first page.

(For those who do not know, a PR is page rank, where you website shows up on the search engine page in a"natural" search - no paid ads)

People shoudnt obsess about page rank at all. The most important thing is not your page rank but your position for your selected keywords and phrases. I provide a service for SEO Dundee and I have seen great success for 99% of clients without ever considering page rank for a minute.

I really dont get why people still care about page rank.. You should care more about your SEO and how many people buy your stuff. You can have a mega page rank of like 8 and still make no money from your website. I currently rank 11th for SEO Dundee but first for almost all of the main search terms i need. The rank of my SEO Dundee page is 1.
