I am not aware that the sba lends money. Usually they just guarantee loans. I do know that if you contact SCORE, they can line you up with companys that have micro loans. I think its a good idea if you can afford the interest they charge.
Here is a link to some basic information about the SBA micro loan program and winston2 - you are correct , the SBA does not lend money directly to businesses.
