Lance,

Since this forum is aimed at eliciting feedback - I offer the following comments:

1. While I understand your reason for wanting "interested parties" only -I`d "soften" the point.
2.  I think I have everything ready to fly makes a different impression than We have everything in place to expand (grow, explode,etc)
3. You might want to indicate the origin of the product.
4. I`d suggest an edit so it flows more smoothly.
5  Are you seeking $5 million?

Send me a PM or contact me directly if you wish to discuss the specifics of your situation.

Hello Craig,

Are you looking to invest in a company or are you just trying to help people out that are trying to get investment by doing a role play?

Kind Regards,
Kathryn Lawrence

Hi Kathryn,
I have about $1.74 to invest in a company. :-D This forum was long-ago started to provide a role-play opportunity, often for people new to the world of business. It was a place to lay out a first run, for the purpose of organizing the most basic strategy to approach someone with money.

I also intended for there to be a way people could see that nobody just "gives away money" for no reason. Even someone who wins a lottery is going to suddenly be fairly cautious about not losing that money.

Over time, for whatever reason, a number of posters came to believe it was all real. LOL! Goes to show you how few people actually read anything. :-D So I stopped paying much attention.

How about another tack? All of the below is true, no hypotheticals at all.

Ask yourself this question: Why would I do this?
Probably most importantly: How or why does the borrower compel my intervention?

If you can answer the last question above, you stand a good chance of borrowing money too.

Hi Kathleen,
This is exactly the point, and it refers to the concept of empathy that seems almost entirely missing from so many people: Put yourself in someone else`s shoes, particularly those of a lender.

Very good post! :-)

I have to say this I like your idea.   Allowing  anyone to have a chance at your magnificant opportunity.   Anyone could make out to be in the spot light.  My main idea is to start a chain of stores that has the products I sell on the internet.  These items would work if I placed these stores in the right areas.  I am thinking in low crime areas but places that there are enough people to make a great profit.  Hope to hear from you soon about my idea.  I do know that it is not much but this has been a dream that I have had for a long while.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Paula, welcome to Startup Nation. :-)
What you`ve presented shows you`re excited about having an idea, but it doesn`t actually say anything that an investor would want to know. Anyone would love to put together a chain of stores selling "something." We all would love to have a successful product and make lots of money.

That`s the goal, right?

Your approach seems to be that you need financing to open up a chain of stores with an existing product. The immediate, first question is whether you have the inventory out of your ecommerce business to stock that chain.

How many stores are we looking at? What would the costs be for a single store. Who would run these? Would it be a franchise? How would you structure the franchise?

Most importantly, why should I consider lending you money for all this? I don`t really care much about the stores or the product. All I care about is how I`ll make a profit on the money I loan out. See?

The Ultimate Business and Investing Solution.

I've developed a financial arbitrage, that allowed me to developed a new business model.

The model allows the buyer to receive a 100% rebate on anything they buy.  The model also allows a buyer that financed a product/service to have their monthly payments paid by the business model.  The model decreases any business expenses up to 20% a year.

Athenapro.com is in development, but open for preview.

I would like to get some critiques on my business start up idea.

We're developing a program that allows veterans to own property and operate a business out of the same location without paying for two locations on a business start-up budget.  We feel like by helping veterans develop businesses we're taking care of America's homeless problem and its decreasing job market.

Under our program during the first five years, we will give the veteran a percentage of his/her mortgage back at the end of the year so that they can put that money back into their business.

The plan is to have 174 units in a 20 floor building with 5 floors of each unit size to start off.  50 1 Bedroom Units with attached work lofts, 45 2 Bedroom Units, 40 3 BRUs, & 40 4 BRUs.

Start-up capital goal is 5 million with the potential to go public within the second year of business.

Each year we will build new properties with the same number of units with the intention to build larger unit sizes as the success of the program grows. We're estimating this will happen after about 5 years.  Of course this will add to the company's bottom line.

We estimate that investors should start to see a return on investments at the end of the first year of business or once all units are sold.

Estimated Yearly Earnings

1st yr = $2,430,000

2nd yr= $4,860,000

3rd yr= $7,290,000

4th yr = $9,720,000

5th yr = $12,150,000

Estimated Monthly Earnings

1st yr = $202,500

2nd yr = $405,000

3rd yr = $607,500

4th yr = $810,000

5th yr = $1,012,500

Unit Sales Prices

1Bdr + WL = $204,000

2Bdr + WL = $360,000

3Bdr + WL = $432,000

4Bdr + WL = $480,000

Veteran Cash Back Projections

1Br= $200 per month, $2400 per year

2Br= $300 per month, $3600 per year

3Br= $400 per month, $4800 per year

4Br= $500 per month, $6000 per year

5 Year Veteran Cash Back Period Totals

Based on one unit sales in each size category

1Br = $12,000

2Br = $18,000

3Br = $24,000

4Br = $30,000

Estimated Per Year Loan Amounts

Each new year loan will be used to build new units totaling the same number as the first years units. $5M for the first year includes land purchase plus cost of construction. Every year after the first year, Veteran Live Work Lofts will purchase land through revenues earned from previous year sales.

1st yr = $5M

2nd yr = $4M

3rd yr = $4M

4th yr = $4M

5th yr = $4M

Our program focuses on fighting against two of America's largest problems at the moment, homelessness, and job loss.  Our program operates to ensure the veteran is able to develop a sound successful business so that the business will continue to grow and therefore be able to hire more people.

If you believe in this program send all donation forms to:
