Speaking of which.
One of my client`s owns a bar/restaurant.
Her and her husband were paying some random guy 75 something bucks every year to be listed in a business listing service, which was a directory of this guy`s creation that received no localized traffic at all, and provided no use for their business.
When I brought this to their attention they were fumed, because people have a tendency for accepting things for face value-
especially on the internet.
For that reason, I encourage people to read as much as they can about what they are doing before they do it- and do what I can to have people open their eyes to people looking to exploit others, and people who are providing genuine/valuable services.
(I didn`t post the above example to give scammers any ideas, but to show what I saw being done with my own eyes so people can beware of such things, especially the more internet-inexperienced)
