Below are the five major areas which leads to increase in website traffic.

1.   Extensive Keyword Research

SEO starts with a solid keyword research and sorting. Most of the SEO professio nals are impatient and always in a hurry to implement their ideas.

I think each and every aspect of SEO has its own importance and benefits and one should try it all.
I believe exchanging links with websites of same niche as yours is the first step and is an ever-ending process.
This would convert your competitors into link partners and leads to mutual benefit in getting good traffic.

That's awesome for a beginner. I also find posting on forums and wiki answers and yahoo answers drives a lot of targetted traffic to my sites.

Love the simplicity.As far as links go, I have submitted my site to 10,000 directories, and see no traffic from any of them and rarely even see a link from them.

Some of the best links I have are "old school". Logged onto a forum and helped someone with a link to the site where more info can be found. This is what I call a "genuine" link. No matter what adjustment any search engine makes, each one pulls a few members a month, and is a highly relevant link.

I would like to learn more about the most efficient ways to do press releases, and if anyone else is doing that.
