Hey Everyone....Happy September!  Ok, with an exciting new partnership on the horizon I`ve got so much to do this week I don`t have time to list it all but I will be continuing the work on the redesign of Packedwarehouse.com and Uglys.com, both which are coming along s l o w l y.  I do plan on bringing packedwarehouse.com back to the forum for critique by SUN members in a few days.  Your advice has been extremely helpful...so thanks and keep the input coming!

After reading `E Myth Revisited` by Michael Gerber I feel I must go back and look at my restaurant through new eyes and re-examine some of our processes.  I`ve addressed this with my restaurant manager and we will be scheduling some time as soon as he finishes reading E Myth.  If you haven`t read a copy of `E Myth Revisited`, I highly recommend it for ANY entrepreneur.  It`s a great quick read.

Well, back to work......

Oh.... talents!  I write music and can recite the alphabet backwards in 4 seconds flat!  Is that a talent???  My grandma thought so, bless her soul.  She taught me when I was 4 and it has stuck with me ever since!

Hi all -

Sounds like everyone is busy as usual.  I just got back from an eight-day vacation a few hours ago.  We were gold-mining and camping in Oregon`s Wallowa Mountains with seven friends.  It`s about a seven-hour drive from Portland so I`m a bit beat as I begin the process of catching up...

Just reviewed a profile of myself that will appear in the upcoming book Creatively Self-Employed: How Writers and Artists Deal with Career Ups and Downs.  Have several 4/C print ads to get out of here by the end of the week for a couple clients.  All the collateral and a newsletter for an AIDS residential care facility is in the final review process.  The entire identity package for a medical spa goes to press this week.  I`m also still spending a great deal of time on my new book.

As for other talents - most are art related and it`s just a question of finding the time to do them.  I paint, draw, design jewelry, do silkscreen prints, dabble in stained glass, do pottery and much more.  Not a muscial note to be found in my body - a grade school attempt at the trombone was a nightmare...

Have a great week!

- J.

My business plan needs to be finished. I have built the website, ordered the biz cards, mentioned my business in many situations to just about anyone to drum up business but the business plan just lags in the back of my mind. I know I need a business plan. That is the first piece of advice I give to people. They would be surprised to learn that I am just so exhausted with it. I will keep you posted!!!!!

Hi Logomotives--sounds like a great vacation! I can understand after vacation not being able to find any musical note on you, but after payday you ought to be able to find at least a "C" note ($100 bill)!

Sorry, but I couldn`t resist the pun.
