Happy Monday everyone! Wow, I can`t believe it`s almost September!

What are your goals this week? Got anything BIG happening?

Question of the week: What`s the funniest/weirdest pet name (dogs, cats, etc.) you`ve ever heard?

Here!

Wow. I can`t believe that I actually made a Roll Call early!

Goal this week. Nail down a presentation format, that is the style and tone that will be used on paper for the purpose of establishing some investors. This one will  aimed primarily at friends and family. A very delicate, and tricky, and quite risky procedure which if not handled properly could haunt us for the rest of our lives. We are taking this very seriously.

Strange animal names.

My parents have had several parakeets over the years. Most recently Mr. Willy who replaced Mr J.B. Twiggles (who flew away one day never to return again.....my Dad told the grandchildren that he went on a "special mission" overseas. Occassionally, Mr Twiggles sends a letter detailing his adventures. Other bird names, Chitter, and Fluffer.

I remember my sister telling me about a guy that named his cat "Dog". That`s right just Dog.  Just the thought of it makes me laugh. Heh heh. Dog the cat. Crazy.

Ah, I`m counting down the days to vacation! Only 2 more weeks before I get to hit the beaches of South Carolina.

Weird dog names.... Well, there was once a woman in my obedience class who named her tiny Yorkshire Terrier, "Killer." When we asked her how she decided on that name, she said "because that`s what I want to shout if I ever hear some strange person come in the house." Haha. We all were thinking that was an interesting idea, since the minute the would-be intruder heard the dog bark, they`d immediately know it wasn`t very big

I am here!!

My son starts kindergarten tomorrow! Yipee!! I will attend PTA Breakfast coffee after dropping him off at school. My goals for this weeks are:

  • Complete flyers and letters I did for Burlingame School District
  • Present the Business Intro to this educator this week and ask her to be on my advisory board.
  • Complete "Prodcut & Service" section in Business Plan.

er .. Eric, I was going to share that I named my cat "Dog" some years ago, too.  I was given this cutest kitten in the world and needed to have a name for him.  Since I have always been afraid of dogs (since I was attacked by a huge dog at the age of 11 in New Zealand) I thought, hey, I`ll name my cat Dog!  The vet thought I was crazy and he laughed every time I took Dog there.

My goals:
Get all wholesale orders out, Get retail orders out daily, Get caught up in Quickbooks, Decide on how to handle payroll, Keep up production

Pets, past and present:

Our dog Ticket`s full name is "Banana Tickee Rutabaga Buggaweez". We usually call her "The Weez", as in "Chris, did you let The Weez out?" or "Did you feed The Weez yet?"

When I was little we had a cat name "Pickle Eyes" and a dog named "Juicy".

I`ve had several birds (parakeets, lovebirds) in the past and they had funny names... McNugget, Beaker, Dagmar, Roscoe, Scooter.

I also love it when people name their pets "people names`. My friend has a dog named "Dave" and another friend has a dog named "Steve".

Chris - that cracks me up, too. Referring to the people who give their dogs "people names." Reminded me of the greyhound in our agility class named "Eric" and I also know a doberman named "Steve"

This is cracking me up.

When I lived in my first apartment I had a cat named Cool Breeze.
Growing up we adopted a kitten and named him Harold. Then one day
Harold had kittens. From that point on she was referred to as "Ole Weird
Harold".

Work wise, it`s a little slow this week.

This week will be spent refining a contract and/or letter of agreement.
Working on several direct mail pieces for a client.
Meeting with a client in Raleigh on a 500 page catalog.
Helping with the grape harvest at a winery in Lexington - if the timing
doesn`t conflict with Raleigh meeting.
Getting a head start on my quarterly tax information.
Maybe taking Friday off to look at new cars.

Meitzi! You had a cat named Dog? That`s so fun.....would you say things like..I have to take my little Dog to the vet.......she`s got a hairball that she can`t get rid of.  Or....my Dog keeps climbing up the tree and she won`t come down?

Chris,

Love the full name- Banana Tickee Rutabaga Buggaweez and especially love "Weez" as a shortened version.  We do the same weird thing with our cats. Our one cat Luna we started calling "the bean"  through a bizzare morphing of nickname variations. Luna--to Lunalu to Lulu to Lulee to Lunabee to Lunabean and eventually just "bean" and "beaner"  So I would say something like "where`s the bean.. is she under the bed again?"  Ok. It`s weird I know and I know that you all are guilty of the very same!

And now Christina,  I must share a Monty Python sketch which is somewhat  about animals named "Eric" Perhaps you`ve heard this sketch? It`s one of my all time Monty Python favorites-  Fish License

BTW......I am not a Looney!

Eric, I love the bean thing! Welcome to the weirdo`s club! We`re always taking in new members.

Speaking of beans... my sister used to call me "Christine-y Beanie Weenie" and eventually I just became "Beans".
