First, I want to thank everyone for their suggestions.  They were all very helpful and insightful.  I appreciate you taking your time to help me.

Take another look at the Home Page for my web site, that seemed to be where most of the suggestions were aimed.  I revamped the page and redid the Introduction page.

Since I work alone, I have no one to make suggestions for changes and I really need your input.  I know that I have a tendancy to be long winded and overspeak my audience.

Again, thank you for your help, it was greatly appreciated.

rickwest... why is nearly all the text on the page bold? If it`s all bold, you are not providing emphasis on any particular part. I think the layout is much better, but it is still quite text heavy. The layout is still showing elements of “do it yourself” design.

Try this… Go to the grocery store and spend some time in the magazine isle. Look at ads, and articles within the magazine. See the style, image position, and layout. Which design catches your eye? Which design makes you want to read it… and why? Try using some of those question and answers in improving your design.

Rick,

You`ve put too much on you homepage....scrolling should be minimal.

Put a lot of that info under your linked pages!

Richard

If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing.
If you have missed some of my emails, you also missed little.
But, if you have missed knowing my LORD and SAVIOR,  JESUS CHRIST,
you have missed everything in the world!!!

Hi Rick,

Just a couple of things,

I too think that you have far too much text and also agree with iouone2 about the bold text. It`s quite difficult to identify the important points just by having a very quick look at the site. What about few more pictures or enabling people to see larger versions of the pics that you already have on your site. One of the first things that I tried to do when I looked at the site was to try to double click on the pics

Hope this helps

Matteo

Agree with every one, to much reading and too bold.

Why not list the same info in a different way for example,

We provide protection from

  • x
  • y
  • z

Most people are not equipped to recover their losses after a devastating event.   After a devastating event, your family has suffered enough, make sure you are protected with RJ West Home Inventory!

Quick and to the point, then provice the links to your next pages.  Add some pictures with the text so that people can click on them.  (I will click on a pic before I will click on text, hard to tell where the link is sometimes)

Hope it helps!

Tony
