and I hope it`s not a dumb one...

Do I need to have an established business before I can join a local Chamber of Commerce and business network groups?

I know my local Chamber will allow non-businesses to join -- and at
a reduced rate too! If you are in startup mode, they`ll let you join and
help promote you as you get going. It`s a very important resource,
and your answers are probably just a phone call away!

One piece of advice though, don`t join more networking groups than
you can be consistently active in. You`re better off being very active
in a few, than not very active in many.

Good luck!
