What is the best way to keep all this passion alive...while working 14 hour days?

If you could ask Michael Gerber, author of the E-Myth, one question on the best way to keep your vision and passion alive, what would it be?

Michael Gerber has a new concept called Intentional Dreaming -- it`s the strategy he teaches entrepreneurs to keep their vision and passion alive while running their business.

I love this concept and the strategies Michael Gerber teaches SO MUCH that I`ll be conducting a live interview directly with Michael on Thursday, March 1st at 11 am PST.

I`d love to know how you would answer my question above...and I`ll even bring it to Michael. You can join us for this live call (or listen to the recording later if you can`t make it) at www.successconnections.com/gerber. You will get a chance to ask your question to Michael once you sign up.

PS I had a quick chat with Michael and his "people" today and I was so inspired I started re-arranging my schedule to attend his next live event. Now that`s passion!

Ouch!

Brett, my newly-minted college graduate friend: Direct Hit! You may have sunk her life coaching battleship! Well-executed, aptly worded, snarky-yet-not-too-much, danceable - I`d give it a 12!

Nikole, that is awesome that you are helping for free on Brett`s concept. That is what this community is all about. In that spirit, anyone who makes cookies, chocolates, or beef jerky is hereby invited to visit my website and send samples to my Charlotte office!

I, for one will be like Barack Obama on Friday: ALL EARS!

Today the tables were turned for Pursue The Passion as we were the ones being interviewed on StartupNation`s Community podcast with Joel, SuN`s Chief Community Director.

To hear the podcast and learn more about the future plans and past experiences of Pursue The Passion, check out http://www.startupnation.com/pages/podcasts/podcast-p3-entre preneurs-are-passionate.asp

We also had a new facelift to our site today, and although it is not totally finished, I`d appreciate any feedback by checking out pursuethepassion.com.

Brett,
As an idealist, I believe that we`re entering a major turning point in history. Personal creation, energy, inspiration, passion, responsibility, and other high-level concepts are coming to the forefront. The key word is "personal."

I see your site as being on the side of the "good guys." You`re promoting a benevolent universe, personal goals, pursuit of dreams, and the ultimate foundation of hope that things will turn out right in the end. To that end, it would be superb to see the site blossom and grow. You sound like you have the commitment and intent. If all is right with the universe, you should win. :-)

Thanks Craig.  Your thought provoking probing of our PTP idea definitely helped me address some real business issues that needed to be addressed.  And it lit a fire under me to prove that young people are capable of doing something greater with themselves.

I hope that everything aligns as well, especially with those sponsors...

Something you might want to look at when you`ve got a moment; the quest as it`s used in literature. "Pilgrim`s Progress," or "The Hobbit" are a sort of prototypical quest story, as they have all the steps that go into writing such a pathway. (Lots of others, those just come to mind.)

My point is that throughout history, a quest follows a pretty standard pattern. There`s the outset, and we meet the hero. Then the hero meets companions. Things "prepare," and there`s trepidation. They set out on the first leg and all sorts of problems and upsets take plase, like your RV problems, gas costs, and so on. This is where they also usually enter "the Market," to get the tools they`ll need along the way. It`s like "a gathering."

As it progresses, the hard ones begin when companions fall away or are taken. Then comes "the slough of despond," where stagnation and frustration fall into a quagmire of inaction and exhaustion. Fear and hopelessness bubble to the surface, and giving up seems like a grand idea.

There then comes along outside intervention of some sort. Wisdom and magic take place as the "pilgrim" gets help from unexpected sources. It goes on from there, with judgement and trials, battles, and other components of a dramatic story.

If you know that a true quest includes all these standard components, you can arm yourself with the knowledge that you`re in the company of all the great heroes of literature. It may *feel* like you`re totally alone in the world, but it`s because you`ve chosen a quest. :-) As you know, you can always quit and give up. It`s your choice if you want to pursue that quest.

(Some would say when a passion takes hold, there`s no longer a choice.)

Just a little Pursue The Passion update-

We have a meeting tomorrow with a television producer that wants to turn our next roadtrip into a TV series.  I`m debating on whether or not it would be best for our goals and message, but I`m sure the added publicity wouldn`t hurt...

Still in the process of convincing companies that we can offer some truly creative advertising benefits with a small sponsorship...we need an additional $20,000 to make the trip happen the way I`d like it to...

And all of our interviews are up on our new website...check it out!

Hi Brett....

Any updates??

Yes, actually a lot of updates!

1) I put in my two week notice to leave my "passionless" corporate accounting position so I can pursue the passion full time.

2) We might have our own show on national television this summer.  It`s currently at a status of "possibility."

3) My "Journey" blog will launch this week.  I`m very excited because I feel my story of leaving corporate america to do something I am passionate about will strike a chord with entrepreneurs.  My career experience will also be of interest to college students entering their first career position.

That is what immediately comes to mind...although there is much more than these three highlights.  The biggest highlight of all will be the tour itself, starting July 1st!  If you have any suggestions of who we should interview I`m all ears.

Brett
