I just read through a couple of the critiques and I was really impressed of the amounts of good feedback.

I will start by giving you the url:
www.trackintime.com

I have just recently (about a month ago) launched my project management and time tracking web app. It is mainly focused on offering a easy to use solution for smaller companies and projects. The basic idea is that you create your project and then invite your team members to join the project. Once this is done the project members can report their time via a start/stop function or a standard time sheet. The project manager will then be able to monitor the progress of the project in charts showing  who spends time on what and so on.

From a functionality point of view the site has two main aims and that is to make the data collection (time reporting) easier and to provide you with a better overview of your project or work time.

I have designed and implemented the app myself and had limited experience of web design prior to this so I had to keep the design quite simple. I have received some feedback about the design being a bit boring and to some extent I am fine with that, given the nature of the application. But it would be interesting to get your thoughts on that. I have not put a lot of work into SEO since market for keywords in this space is quite crowded and my main focus now is to improve the application.

There are a lot of actors in the time reporting space but I think I have a few things that are unique in my offering:

1. The pricing model: You can use all of the functionality for free ads will however be displayed in that case.
2. The estimation feature: I have not found any other applications that offers the same kind of collaborative estimation features that Track in Time has.
3. The Organization structure: You can be engaged in multiple organizations using the same account.

The “about us“ part is far from completed and I am currently in the process of setting up a company that is why there is no contact info yet.

So that is basically the story of Track in Time. I would very much appreciate your feedback on any of this. If you have any comments or can think of any important features that is missing post them here or send me an email, albin@trackintime.com.

I just took a quick peek at your site... I did not attempt to register and try out the app.

Three quick thoughts:

(1) There is no obvious "call to action". You have a "new user" tab, but I'd suggest adding a more overt "new user" / "try now" button or graphic/text.. or something like that to the home page... AND every tour page.

(2) The alt image tags for many of your graphics is "spinner". The alt image tag should be descriptive of the image - and also if appropriate contain your targeted keywords.

(3) The image on your about us page - the file size of the image is quite large (403Kb). I'd suggest an image file size of 20 to 60Kb.

One tip on SEO - it is not necessary to use "Track in Time" as the title tag for your home page, because that is your domain name - so it is redundent and does not really add to your SEO. Better is to use a targeted key word/phrase. If you want to use your domain name in the title, then it should be AFTER the tarketed keyword/phrase.
