that`s why it is idiotic to talk about "fair profits" or "price gouging" and the like.  there really can be no meaningful objective standards.

Alright, it`s logically true that we can`t have a "fair pricing" standard. That doesn`t prevent the government---the one we`ve paid good money for, and which is totally bought and paid for---that government from passing laws and regulations.

Those regulations and the arguments used to drum up support for them, all are founded on the undefined "fair" word. Even ths so-called Fair Doctrine, designed to censor public communications uses the word.

Another intent for this topic is to expand people`s context. Too many small business owners, entrepreneurs, and people starting up a business seem to think (feel?) that these "big" discussions about "large" economic events have little to do with them. They`re just someone trying to make a couple of bucks selling Grandma Maple`s syrup-and-whiskey for waffles.

The thing is, all of us---even the little guys---come under the umbrella of these big, widespread rules and regulations. People here on SuN who argue that big oil companies ought to be penalized for profits seem to forget that they`ll also be penalized for profits.
