I had an interesting thing happen to me today .... I got an email from my account at a stock photography site telling me that my prepaid purchase credits would be expiring.

Now, if you live in CA, you know this practice is illegal in CA. All internet merchants like Amazon.com must renew expired gift certificates for those living in CA, and credits in your Amazon account can`t disappear.

For a quick review of the practices by state, check out this link:
Fact Sheet on State Gift Card Protection Laws

Just good info to think about if you do sales across state lines and offer any kind of prepaid services or gift certificates.

Now I have to figure out what I`m going to do to fight this.

Interesting.... I was forced to round up some photos I didn`t really need from Dreamstime last year when they said my credits were expiring.  I was really annoyed.  If I buy credits - that means I intend to use your site.  Don`t tick me off by taking my money for nothing if I don`t use the credits fast enough!
