Hello

Bit of a chicken and egg thing - I should have done this before our launch. Anyway, I would appreciate some presentation and usability feedback on our new startup site: MapofNeeds.com

I have a technical background as apposed to a creative one. With the exception of the icons, everything, including the logo, was developed in house. I’m pretty sure I have all the basics right though with regards to clean, simple, obvious and efficient to use. I’m not expecting you to register of course, but behind the scenes each member has their own home page, profile and control of their listings and opportunities. Once again, keeping it simple and easy to use.

Hi Brendan, Just wanted to congratulate you on a clean, simple site that tells me exactly what the site is about upfront with the tagline  - Meeting Your Needs, Wherever They Are. I love that. Design is clear and userbility is good. I like the Map of Needs too, that looks pretty good.

What I would add:

I like the orange - 'Add a Need Box' however I think you could add an arrow here from just under the Search Needs Box to the field in a green perhaps? something that draws attention to that box afterall that's what you would like people to do. Also the icon of the man - that clickable link takes me through to the About Us Page though I would like to be clicked through to the enter a need signup.

All in all - super site, clean friendly design. Good luck mate! Maria

Hi guys

Thanks very much for the feedback Maria. FYI - I've not changed where the man goes for now, but I have introduced a clearer "Add a Need" button in the Getting Started panel and on the page that the man icon takes you to - this should do the trick.

You may have noticed also, after looking at a Need once, the man disappears and is replaced with a Recent Views listing - so he's not around for long :)
