I would be happy to hear all comments about my website. There is alot of information because the topic can be confusing and emotional too.
If you will let me know your kudos and concerns I will take it well, I promise

Why would somebody enter personal/medical information into a non secure web page with no information about the pharmaceutical companies that it is supposedly affiliated with?  I couldn`t find a single logo from a Bayer, Lilly, Bristol Meyers Squib, Glaxo, or anybody else.

Sorry, good copy with no proof to back it up is going to drive most people away.

The website is on a secured, dedicated server with all the bells and whistles so I guess I need to post that on there-though it is in the privacy page. I have not had any problem anyone questioning the security. Lots of people are signing up-- that is not a problem at all.  We don`t share info with anyone. The info is basic eligibility and a selection of meds.  All that is stated in the terms and conditions just like any website that handles healthcare products, insurance etc. And we are not required to be hippa compliant since we don`t handle meds or shipment of meds, we are a service supplying research and information.
The Pharmacuetical companies do not want their logos on the website. They want people to get their medications free.It is not advertisement for them infact they don`t want our website to promote them as this is a charitable service they offer to patients.
Once a person has their application forms printed off at the end of the sign up,  the names of the Pharma companies are all over each one. So I guess you would say they get their credit then.

Perhaps you have missed the purpose of what we do to service our customers? That is what I need to know so I can adjust accordingly.  Thanks for taking the time! I appreaciate it as it is very helpful to know what I need to explain.

I think Mike is partially referring to not using HTTPS on the page.  Using just HTTP leaves the form data open for interception.  I never send personal data through an unencrypted page.
Changing that alone could bring you a measurable percentage increase in the number of interested people......

The site looks pretty good to me....

OH technical stuff my programmer should have advised.  You are exactly right about this.. Thanks for pointing this out clearly to me.  I will ask them in the am for their take on that.  I always had thought it was a secure page so this just shows my techie side is not well educated!

Thanks!

I don`t understand why "Eligibility Form" is a banner with a big question mark?

Other than that, it seems pretty reasonable. I concur with the above comments, but the site looks nice, runs well, and pretty much explains what you`re doing. I guess my question would be where I can find out what you offer? Why would I particularly want your site when there are so many other sites around, see?

Sorry, was typing fast last night and feeding kids at the same time.  In "keeping it short" and "wrapping it up" that post came out a little critical and I didn`t mean it to.  Here is a little more explaination:

The SSL Thing:
As soon as I saw the sign up form with more than the standard name/email information request, I started looking for some indication that the communications between the browser and server would be secure.  This is just me... I tend to be cautious about providing personal info on unfamiliar sites.  It sounds like you are getting plenty of replies, so this concern might not warrant purchasing a new SSL certificate.  However, as long as you are already paying to host the site on a dedicated server with SSL you should take full advantage by placing a visual banner right next or very near to your information request form "submit" button.  That way if people like me come along you have proactively addressed the first concern.

The Good Copy - No Proof Thing...
You have very, very, very well written text on your site.  It is clear that you put alot of time into the information architecture.  Almost all of the questions that I had were answered, or it was clear where I go in the site to get an answer.  Other than the SSL, the only other one that wasn`t was the question of "which specific pharmaceutical companies offer programs that you can help me find".  I began to look for banners, partnership indicators, names, testimonials, or some other answer and didn`t find one.  In your reply, you provided a perfectly good reason.  If it is a barrier for others, perhaps you might add this question and answer to your FAQ..

At the end of the day it all boils down to trust indicators for me (and keep in mind I might not even reflect your target audience).  Personally, before I provide anything more than my name and email I look for some basic trust indicators (SSL certificates, third party partnerships, testimonials, etc.) because I want to know more about the business that I am communicating with.  Unfortunately, there are people with very nice looking websites that use forms to harvest information for unethical advertising purposes.

I hope that this is useful... I re-read my post and kind of cringed because I tossed out a couple of critical observations without providing any helpful suggestions.

Oh thank you!!! I appreciate the full explanation.  It is very important to me that the website is trusted and is secure.  My programmer gave me info this morning about the SSL cert and suggested godaddy.com.  Do you know much about them?  I was amazed at the low prices on dedicated servers-even the full service is lower than my full service from rackspace.com.  Making me wonder if I made a huge mistake going with them though I trust them and they are very attentive.

I like your suggestion about adding to the FAQ.  most of the companies are very well known and it would give potential customers some relief to know they are not getting these meds from some china factory-I state throughout these are US companies but you know how things are missed.

I have spent alot of time on copy mainly because this industry is very confusing for people and I want them to have education about it.  And I want them to know I am a six year veteran and have experienced so much already.

I have studied competition and our site offers so much more than the others at a significantly lower price-low customer service needs so labor cost is low.

Our top price is $19.95 but we discount for volume and for non profits.

Thanks again-your time is valuable and I am so happy for the insight.

I`ve been using GoDaddy exclusively for more than five years and never had a problem with them.  Did you say that you had a dedicated server now?  Do you really have the traffic to require one?

I expect I will very soon. I have pending contracts that I will have source of over 1 million market to see my website.  I store some info in a large database now and the traffic and new signups have to be handled along with automated email system. I got talked into this by the web designer/programmer and have been paying too much money.  Just asked him to give me cost to move it and do ssl cert at the same time through godaddy.

thanks
