I designed my store site a little less that a year ago using quick shopping cart from GoDaddy.com. I also have a website from GoDaddy that receives approx 500 hits per day. My problem is that no one is visiting the store and I have only had three purchases since start up!
Any help is most appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Your website is too busy - there is way too much going on with your main page.  Try to focus on specific items.  Catalog things deeper.
Also, as for the graphics and layout, you need to make things easier for people to read and navigate.  Simpler graphics and lettering (ie, the hard-to-read script lettering for your company name) are not helping you.

As for the sales, understand that only a small percentage of people who visit a website like yours will purchase something.  A good goal would be between 1-5% of unique visitors to number of people who make a purchase.  How long have you been in business?

I officially started in March of 07. I appreciate your comments. I have played with several different logos, the latest being a suggestion from a friend. My original logo is posted in my profile.Which site is too busy? The store or the web? I guess I just expected more interest that what I have gotten. I have advertised in several trade papers and magazines as well as issued press releases to all the related media.

The file size of logo (webhed_afbdb.jpg) for the store is too large. People may not be waiting for the image to download and just be leaving the site.

Check your stats to see how many visits you have to your store and from where...searches, links from other site, links from your site. To determine what source of traffic you need to work on.

It is not a bad idea to have product or category text based links from your home page to your store (product or category).

Also think about what words you use for your categories and products... in terms of what workds are used to search for them.

Why have a web ring at the top of your home page? If you need to use a web ring, put it at the bottom of the page.

I`m not known for sugar-coating anything, so I thought I`d get that little disclaimer out of the way ...

I really had no desire whatsoever to even read a single word on your site.

The colors are distracting.
The fonts are hard to read.
The focus of the front page is lacking. (See: copyrighting.)
You need more whitespace and less words.
Less things that don`t matter, less talking about you and more talking about what you offer me.

Your store shouldn`t have copywriting.
Think of when you walk into a Safeway. Do they hand you some sheet with words when you walk in? No, they have end-cap displays with all their finest products and sale items inviting you in. Target has the "dollar spot" right at the front of the store and end-cap displays on every isle. Kmart hands you sale flyers at the door. Cragen has signs to show you around. Think about that and try to re-create that feeling when you do your store.

I`m sorry to be blunt ... I hope some of this helps.

I appreciate your opinions. I also don`t believe in candy coating responses. This was my first attempt at designing a website. The more feed back the better, negative or positive!
I have already begun to use some of the ideas and suggestions posted here and will hopefully complete the coding in the next few days.
You are very correct in that logos don`t do much. I am going to change the home page to highlight individual products with links directly to them in the store. The colors are something I have had trouble with choosing. I am limited by the current web and store programs that are provided with GoDaddy. I am working with them to enact a change for more designer freedom.

As for fonts, what do you suggest as the most comfortable to read? Any ideas on color schemes?

I have completely revamped the sites and am in the process of creating more products of my own design. I feel that my site gets lost in the crowd with so many competitors selling the same thing. I did open an Amazon Store which has produced several sales but they do not allow advertising for other websites.
I would appreciate it if everyone could check out the sites and give me ideas to improve. Thanks for all your help!
