First I want to thank all of you who viewed the old web site and made comments and suggestions.  Just starting out, I chose an inexpensive software package that was very limiting.  There was so much wrong with it that we decided to go with a completely new package and I am reallly excited with the results.  I would appreciate any feedback and comments you may have.  I feel so fortunate to be a part of a community filled with so much knowledge.  Thanks, can`t wait to hear from you!

Hi Vicky,

Looks good.

Some comments,
The header should cover the entirety of the page, unless you intend to put something else on to the right of “Vicki’s Drawers” make the color of the background the same color as your jpg.

I use a bare bones Fx browser, in that environment some of the pages behave oddly on your site this is a partial screen capture of the ‘flirt’ page, you can see how the lines jump over to the next cell.

Your ‘Terms’ page is blank (I’m certain it’s not an oversight but work in progress)

On your privacy page I would change
“However, we cannot be responsible for how third parties, whose links appear on our site, use your information.”
to something along the lines of
“to find out how they will use this information read their privacy policies <link to them>”

This part I really don’t like
“Vicki`s Drawers does not sell or commercially make available specific information about its Users or Users other than in aggregate form, except in cooperation with law enforcement bodies in regards to content violations or violations of applicable laws.”
So, how do you sell it? I know you sell it in aggregate form, the fact that you are selling it at all makes me uneasy, regardless of how you are selling it.

This does not make me feel secure
“Vicki`s Drawers has implemented additional precautions to ensure the privacy of your personal information. We have a strict firewall in place which does not allow any outside access. Access in the company is limited to only individuals who need to be able to see customer data in order to perform their job functions, such as the billing department. Important personal data is backed up on the network to help insure its integrity.”
I would change that to something along the lines of
“No personal information is kept on-line (if that is the case)”and eliminate the back-up reference. All that other verbiage makes me think that YOU don’t trust all your employees, if you don’t, why should I?

I would eliminate
“You may choose not to receive special offers and discounts simply by not registering for any special deals and offers when you sign up”
I would think that is self explanatory.

On your FAQ’s

I don’t like this at all
“Yes, your personal information is securely stored in our Ecommerce database with the same SSL 128-bit encryption. You have the option to make this information available for future orders when logging in, so that you do not have to type it again when you come back and shop from us.”
You mean to tell me that my credit card number and all personal info is on the net? Protected by only your server’s security? I wouldn’t spend a penny there. If you must keep such information it should be kept on a server that IS NOT on the net, any server can be hacked, specially if you are telling the would be hackers “lookie here! I’ve got all these goodies just waiting for you...”

Good luck!

Hello Vickie,

I really like your products, very provocative and presented well.

I have one suggestion... I would like to see your Logo upgraded a bit to match the visual quality of the rest of the site. The Logo also does not look like it is consistent with the rest of the site.

Hope that is helpful.

Would you mind critiquing my site as well ? www.thebuyinggroup.comMark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the input about the logo, we are working on that.

I tried to clink on your site and then tried cutting and pasting but still got an error message.

Thanks,

Vicki

Hi Mark,

I like your site.  Looks very professional, is easy to navigate and loads fast.  The only thing that bothered my eyes was on the front page the rolling testimonials and the products both rolling at the same time made it hard for me to read, my eyes kept bouncing back and forth.  It just seemed too busy.  How do you advertise your business?

Best of luck to you,

Vicki

Thanks Vicki .. I appreciate your thoughts on the " too much action; comment"...I will stop the testimonial scroll on the Home page on the B2C Site.

Advertising .. I have had some Good Articles featuring our company in local papers, Attended / Exhibited at Trade Shows and tomorrow I will be on a Podcast Radio Show. I will be Beta Testing some postcards shortly as well.

How do you advertise?

Thanks

Mark

Mark,

I`ve been using Yahoo Marketing and have been frustrated with it.  Advertising lingerie can bring lots of clicks from non-buyers looking for pics of women in lingerie, so I have to be careful with keywords, but if I`m too careful, I don`t show up where I want to show up.  I got lot`s of suggestions from SUN members about local advertising and I`ll be working on that.  Just quit my day job, so I will have the time to put in to other ideas.  Trying to get local businesses to put my cards out.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just retired from a hospital job.  I noticed you mentioned doc`s offices.  Have you ever tried contacting office managers at large medical buildings?  Docs are always interested in saving money and the office managers are usually interested in finding ways to do it.

My best to you,

Vicki

Have you concidered an affiliate relationship with Commission Junction , Performics or Linkshare? They can assist you with a program to sign up advertisers to drive traffic to your site.

Call me at 941-330 8050 if you wish to discuss tomorrow.

There may be ways we could work together as well.

Cheers

Mark
