You`re not catching me with your front page.

Think ... personal. Disasters happen. Will you get the full amount of your insurance claim when it happens to you?

OK that was bad, maybe you get the gist. Work on your copywriting.

Thanks nhgnikole. You`re right about making my home page more personal.  Check it out now. I just re-did it and make it more personal. Also there is a call to action. How`s that?

Thanks again for the feedback.

Caricc:

#1  I went through the entire Website and still do not know in what geographical area you work in.  Do you offer this service nationwide?  In a particular city in Indiana?

I found your 800 telephone number listed on only one page.

People will not take the time to navigate your entire site for relevant information.

#2  Personally. I`ve been in the electronic security business for 28 years.  Frankly, I do not like scare tactics.  People buy security and warm, fuzzy feelings.  Sleeping well at night.  This is a tough sell in a weak economy.

#3  Re:  SEO needs work.  Need to add content for search engines... MetaTags need work.  There are no keywords listed.....

I agree that the homepage needs a little boost.  I think having a navigation bar across the top instead of a bulletpoint list on the side will make it look more professional.  I think you also need some contrasting colors - something to make the house picture stand out...(I do like the couple looking at the house, I think this portrays your point pretty well).

I think the content is ok for now, but I agree that you need a little bit of organization and make sure all your pertinent info is easily available.  you want to repeat the most important info as many times as possible without sounding pushy.  You have a good start but it can definately be more powerful!

Your site would actually be a perfect candidate for customer targeted content. If you`re the programming sort, you can easily link the site to realtime geoip locating, which will allow you to target customers based specifically on their location. That is if you operate in a lot of places. I tried looking it up but your site gave me a 404 if i tried to go anywhere but the home page, i`m assuming you`re working on the design.
If you`re the developer type i`d recommend getting wamp or lamp, and copy the site to your computer and develop everything locally. This way visitors don`t get interrupted while changes are made..

Never mind, everything seems to be working now. Not sure if you were testing anything or if it was a temporary server glitch.

I agree I don`t like the harsh scare tactics ... I`d prefer you sell me on warm fuzzies.

Maybe look at what life insurance does?

I agree with some of the comments posted above. The home page is not very inviting and the layout (links) should be at the top. It also seems very negative with the scenarios. I understand you are trying to make a point that many people are not organized or prepared for disasters but it is done in a harsh scary way.

Look for a copywriter to help you turn it around. I found a great web guy on the services link her at SUN. I`ve been with him for over 1 year and he has created a site that I would never had been able to do. On top of that, it gave me time to focus on what I needed to do.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I will do some more research and see if I can get that "warm fuzzy" approach setup. I`ll post back when I need to re-eval again.

Thank you all,
