Hi,
I recently started a business which is aimed at helping any type of company to carry on an online word-of-mouth marketing easily. It`s called www.creamaid.com .
We`re yet in beta and testing and experimenting stuff.
Please visit our site and see if it is difficult to
understand our concept.
We tried to make the whole thing as clear as possible, but we are not sure whether it is clear enough.
Our greatest worry is that the interface and the "howto" pages may not be clear enough to new users.
Any feedback would be very welcome.
Thanks in advance :)

You did a damn good job if I may say so myself. It’s very clear and explanatory and I wish you the best .

Well done, the pages are a tad to heavy for my taste, other than that it`s a pretty good site, excellent concept!

Are you selling stock in your company? ;-)

Trento,

Your website is extremely usable.  Excellent job with your user-experience design.  The design is also very clean and modern.

I think the "Introduction" section does a great job in explaining what CreamAid is and how to use it.  Whenever I thought of a question, the next heading answered it.

I also think the product is intriguing and has a lot of potential.

Very nice!

ElidS,
Thanks for your comment.
Does "heavy" mean that it takes long time to load?
Or is it something else?

By the way, we`re not yet at the stage of selling stocks :)
We certainly hope we can in the near future ;-)

Thanks guys for all your comments. I`m flatterred ;-)
By the way, what do you think about the usability of
the "widget" itself?
It`s supposed to be easy to understand even without
the introduction page. Just following through the steps
specified inside the widget is supposed to be enough
for understanding how this works.
What do you think?
If you don`t think it is that easy to get the concept just by
following through the widget, what improvements can be made?

Again, thanks for all your comments in advance.
It means a lot.

Hi Trento,

Probably `heavy` was not the right word to use, as I have not tested how many kbs. each page is worth. I meant to convey the idea that the pages take too long to download. I just tried again an it is now averaging about 12 seconds for the homepage, that`s not too bad but earlier it was closer to 20 that is too long for me.

Yes, it DID take a long time to load! I was willing to put up with it, but ordinarily would have blown it off. However, after I read the first page and hit the "Intro" button, as it took so long to load, I did walk away.

The only thing I`d add is that although I get the concept of posting a blog and syndicating it, I don`t see how that would pay me money? I hear about a widget. Okay...then what? I start a blog? Join a blog? Connect my existing blog? That`s what I expected to read more about on the Intro page, which took too long.

Ah Hah! (I posted some while waiting for the page to load). I now see that "Widget" is a jargon-specific term. That`s a bad idea! Almost everyone knows that a "widget" is a generic placeholder for "anything." It`s like the ACME company in cartoons, or "let`s say a company makes widgets as their product."

You`re fighting a tremendous preconception as to what`s a widget. I thought it was "I hear about some product, and we don`t need to name that product, this is only an example. Then you create a blog and somehow talk about that product." Turns out I was wrong.

Now that I see what I thought was a widget in your first page example, turns out to be not at all what I thought, I`ll revise my previous statement. No. I don`t get the concept. (Not without really doing some thinking, and wandering through the Web site.) It should be much more clear as to what is a "widget," and how do I make money.

I don`t think people want to exercise their thinking while looking at a Web site they`ve run across. It should be clear immediately, in a sort of semi-hypnotic state, much as TV commercials don`t require any thought to get across their message.

Guys, thanks for your kind feedback.
By the way, do you have broadband connections?
If you DO have broadband connections and this problem still happens, there definitely is some problem. We would have to find out what`s happening.

Anyway, thanks for mentioning. I was just worrying about
the interface and suddenly I find that we have more problems than just that.

Thanks for all your help :-)
