Hi, I was wondering if I can get some critiques for my new website. I just launched it in the middle of March, its called MyDivorceSales.com, it is a free selling site for couples that are divorced to sell their unwanted items. Not going through a divorce, not a problem! Everyone is welcome to sell (divorce their unwanted item) and buy from the site for free, no commission fees, or shipping fees when you sell locally.

If I can get some critiques on my website, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

I like the layout and the flow and the idea. What I don`t like as much is the text. I`m a freelance writer and the excessive use of exclamation marks gives your text a less than professional `read`.
You can`t emphasis everything. This is akin to TYPING ALL MY WORDS IN CAPITAL LETTERS. It just doesn`t work.

What you can do is narrow your focus (I`m thinking you actually are excited everywhere you use an exclamation) and select the most important points relatively. You can use color and font changes to add a bit of emphasis, but you don`t really want to appear too hypey do you?

My 2 cents.

I would take out the ! after start your own blog today. And I think that intro paragraph on the front page needs work, but otherwise I think the copy is fine.

I might even take out that welcome box, bump up the featured listings, and put the "How it works" and "Recent Listings" buttons elsewhere but prominent.

Interesting premise.

Take out the periods after "F" and "A" in "FAQ," add an address somewhere on the site to prove legitimacy, and definitely cut down on all those exclamation points.
