Hello All,

I am new to Start Up Nation.  I launched Empanada Kitchen 5 weeks ago and I am on a rollercoaster.  Some things are going great, others not so good.  I've put all my resources, effort, and passion to this business and I wouldreally appreciate any feedback that you provide as to the look and functionality of the site.  Thank you so much in advance for all your help.

hmm... where to start. i can just give u my honest feed back and i hope itll help. the first thing i noticed were the prices. they seem fare. but when buying more pcs, people would expect to get a deal. i noticed for from 6 to 12 pcs you doubled the price and didnt give any break at all. i guess for someone buying it because they need all 12 pcs for an occasion its ok. but for someone that would be stocking up on these things it wouldnt make sense to buy more then 6 at a time. try to give a bit of a break on the price when people order more. i think this will encourage people to purchase higher qtys. buy more save more. :)

also with the club memberships. give them a deal if theyre going to be forking up some cash upfront for an entire year supply of empanandas.

i found it a bit confusing when looking through the empanadas for purchase. you should have a better system for ordering different type of empanadas. for example it seemed like if i made a purchase i didnt know what i was getting in my empananda.

these are very minor things that can easily be changed.

other than that... your site looks great. great pictures. the more pictures the better. also upload the thumnail picture as well as a bigger size picture when people click to enlarge.

your sites getting me so hungry.

Hi,

I reviewed your site.  Looks nice, but pricing seems a little high.  Also, on the “order“ page there should be more detail.  I would include a list of what is in the product packages you are selling.  Finally, the “What’s an Empanada” page needs to be shortened.  A while back I read that three examples are sufficient for the average buyer.  More than that and the customers loose interest in what you’re saying.

On your home page, there is one buy now button. It is unclear which product it puts into your cart...maybe move it under the product and add one for the other two products.

I really like your colors and font sizes -- easy to read for me. Your navigation makes sense to the user.

I don't see much text linking from one page to another -- search engines have trouble finding all the pages of your site without the text linking.

Best regards,

Molly Donaldson

Visually I think it looks very very nice. The color scheme and balance of elements has been done very well.

Someone else mentioned the "buy now" button and I have to agree. That's a little confusing. Could that be changed to "shop now" to take you to the product page?

GEEK STUFF

On hour home page in the title bar it says "Empanada Kitchen Admin Mode" That element of a web site is very relative to a search engine.

Within your pages I see no meta tags for description or keywords. It's not the most critical element, there are several factors and these are two of them.

If you had someone design this or you're using a template somewhere, you might want to check into these things and see if they can be added to or improved upon.

Thank you so much for you kind responses!!!  I truly appreciate you taking the time to help me out with this.    I will meet with my designer and will let them know about "buy now" vs "shop now" (I like that!) and the meta tags and keywords.  Also, will let him know about how we can add the description in a way that is visible without further action (if you click the name of each product, there is a description of the product, though).  Thanks so much!!
