I`ve found something that will not only benefit me and my family, but also my community.  More will be added and this is just the beginning.  I want to make the value so great that it is a "No brainer" to get books, CDs, and DVDs from my site.  What do you think?  Between getting free books and giving back to charities, is there anything else I should do?  Would you change anything?

Hi LiveWise-
Unfortunately I am not a website expert, however I will give you feedback on what I liked about your website as an outsider.  Not sure if other book sellers do the same, but I loved the fact that you have an option to download a free book. I think that will draw attention to your website, and I like that fact that it is a classic such as Huck Finn.  I also like that you review, and recommend a few books on the right hand side of the page.  It is a great personal touch.  Sorry I can`t review the website and give you better advice, but it`s always nice to hear the positives.  I wish you the best of luck.

The site looks good and I also like the aspects that Anthony mentioned above.  Those stood out to me as well.

However, upon visiting the main page... I don`t get it.  Your message is not clear.  It is obvious you are doing something different with selling books (and other media) but I couldn`t understand what that is.  There`s the line about getting books from a local, corner bookstore run by friends - but it`s a web store.  Huh?  Then there are links about having your own bookstore and becoming published.  And then there`s the whole `percentage goes to charity` thing.

Those are all fine elements of a web business but with all these conflicting messages, I was just confused.  Does this source my local bookstores?  Is it a publishing company?  Is it a franchise?  With your personal presence on the site, how are you involved in all this?

I just think you need one clear message like `We sell books and give back.`  Then you can also mention some of the other things you offer.  But as it stands, trying to shout ALL of your messages at once just leaves things a bit confusing.  Don`t get me wrong, it`s not like I`m actually confused by the site.  I was confused about why I would buy through you, what value I get out of it.  I hope that makes sense.

Here`s a link to the site: http://www.mybookwise.com/LiveWise/

I`ll go along with Steve. I didn`t see anything specific that tells me what`s going on. I clicked the "Bookwise" link, and saw only a menu along the side, and a big blank area in the middle. (Windows 98SE, Firefox 1.x, DSL)

Ah...Very Interesting!! When I clicked the above link, I wanted to go back to where I started. So I clickd "Home." At that point I returned to a very different page from where I started! So I`ll assume you`re using a landing page that has nothing much to do with the actual home page? Not a good idea, if that`s the case.

Here`s where I saw "What is Bookwise?" That should be on the first page where someone arrives. Additionally, we`ve had a lot of discussion about audio on the web. Not everyone likes it (I hate it, personally). As such, since I would click away from the site right away, you should give people the *option* of learning about Bookwise by audio OR by reading.

Additionally, the presentation still didn`t explain to my satisfaction what`s Bookwise other than it`s some sort of MLM or Franchise or other way to run a business from home.

All in all, it`s a confusing site. I`m not sure how well it presents itself, although I do understand the underlying wish to increase reading in America. I just wonder if it`s possible at this late date.

I didn`t even see earlier the page that the `home` button brings you to.  When I go there, I feel like I`m an a different site, not the Natalie one.  I realize that this is the BookWise main page and not your site but this navigation is a good way to accidentally send customers out of your store, and confuse them.  I`m probably more web savvy than the common user and because this is a critique, I`m looking for these specifics.  I think many people would just get lost.

Fortunately, redirecting links is easy to fix!  :)

Thanks for your feedback.  I really appreciate it.  I will try to make the changes.  There were also a few little bugs that I don`t think are present anymore as far as pressing to the home page.  When you are involved in it and know it inside and out, it`s nice to have an outside opinion that doesn`t understand it to test it out.  THANKS!!!

I would like my website reviewed, please.  I have had one customer in 6 months.

I can see why is that.
1. the design of the website doesn`t help users
2. it looks amateur
3. html coding has a lot of mistakes-i.e. 4 <body> tags, it should have only 1
4. the pagerank of the website is 0, means noone can ever find your website through google search
This is just a five minute impression I got from your website :)

Of course we can change this sad situation :)
