I`m a high school student who is a budding entreprenuer and a long time browser of these forums.  I`d like constructive critsicm of my website (and business).  Shulure.com, and the store is located at store.shulure.com.  My business is totally internet based and all feedback will be very much appericated.  I`ve been playing with it to long and need some fresh eyes on it.  Most vistors see shulure.com but many who come from google adwords go to shulure.com/products.  I need help converting vistors from shulure.com and shulure.com/products to sales in my online store.

TIA

Nice, simple, quick and easy to navigate.

Is there anyway to make the store.shulure more insync with the main site?

"The Attutide" section is great allow for some wonderful customer feedback.

The only thing it really lacks are more pictures of your product in action, but you have that covered with the contest you`re running.

Good Luck!

I can definetly help you get more people to your website.  Check my business out. at www.payitforward4profits.com/cathyc  I did visit your site.  I would definetly try to make it more interesting maybe with video.  Best of luck!  Cathy C

Very nicely done. Great copywriting. Not a fisherman but I definitely understood what you offered and were I a fisherman,  it would appeal to me.

Great job so far!

Concerning the graphic on the front, I`d get rid of it....WHY? You mentioned that people are hitting the site and are immediately going to the Products page....which is fine, but theres really no content at all on the products page...which can be bad.

Ditch the graphic and move your content up...use a strong benefit oriented headline at the top (in place of the graphic), while browsing through your site, I came across a sentence you had...I twisted it around slightly and this is what I came up with:

Have Fun on the Water
and Catch More Fish

I`m sure that`s what every fisherman wants to do, thus the reason they go out there.

If you`re really insistent on using a photograph on the homepage, why not use the one you have (of yourself I assume) on this page, with a similar headline:

http://www.shulure.com/attitude/gallery/shulure001.jpg

On the products page, I`d probably put more content there so people know what they`re actually clicking on versus just clicking any ole graphic, and thats provided they click on it...right now, how would they know which one to click? How would they know what these lures do?

Provide a brief blurb at the top and perhaps use some amazing headlines/benefits about what each of the lures purposes are.

Then they can make a decision on which to click on...and once they click on it, then you can go into more detail about that particular lure.

THeres a whole lot of other things I`d probably modify but you`re off to a great start. Make some changes if you wish and see what the results are like...don`t wanna make a ton of changes without seeing whats working...once you get better results, then make some more changes and so on...

You got yourself a great product....consider offering visitors to the site some type of free report concerning your lures so you can capture their names and email addresses...because once they guys know you, like you and trust you, then you can keep on selling to these guys on a regular basis...they`ll buy just about everything you have probably.

have fun on the water and we make that even easier by allowing you to catch more fish.

It looks good. I would combine the products and store sections. Why go
to one place to read about the products, then another to purchase them?
On the most basic e-commerce sites to the giants like Amazon, you will
see all of the product info as part of the purchase pages. There are no
reasons for them to be separated. I would also suggest not having the
login info on a main page of the store. Your visitors should see the lures
right away.

I would take a look at some major e-commerce sites that you like. Get
some ideas from them. Layout, descriptions, etc. They are the ones that
are shaping the way people buy online. Your site needs to be a little
more comfortable in the purchase process. However, I like the warmth of
your homepage, the photos, colors and sense of greeting. It doesn`t
scream BUY NOW which I find refreshing. On the other hand, your store
or products pages don`t scream that either which is where you want it to!

One thing you might do if people are linking from Adwords to your
products pages and not the store, is integrate the store into the product
descriptions. Get rid of the `store` altogether and just let people buy
when they browse under `products`. Like I said before, they should be
one and the same anyway.

Two cents from 337 Design - The Website Company:

1.  I totally agree with Campsteve, collapse the two sections into one.  Right now it`s fairly confusing and you want to make it as easy as humanly possible for your visitors to order from you.

2.  Get some product images and the heading "Order Now" or "Start Shopping" or "Newest Additions" on that homepage above the fold!  Do it tonight!  Get people into that store as quickly as possible.

I see what I think you`re talking about? I went to the main shulure.com site, and browsed a bit. How did you get that drop shadow on the GIF for the logo? It looks terrific, and the shadow fade is like a JPG?

Anyway....I finally clicked the "Online Store" tab, which took me to the store.shulure.com site, and then I was stuck. Why can`t you adjust the link on the `Home` button there, to actually take me back to the shulure.com site? Is it one of those template type stores, where you can`t get into that code?

If so, I`d recommend rebuilding the store through a shopping cart you`re running on your own shulure.com site. It`s a cool site, though, and was fun to browse. I do like to fish, freshwater mostly, but that shot off the back of the boat sure has me wishing it was Spring already! :-)

Thanks to everyone who responded.  I will start implementing these ideas one by one.  After wrestling season, this business will be my main focus (i`m still in high school).  I must say this is the best critique I`ve every received for my business and website.  In the next few weeks as the season wraps up I will try to answer some of the questions that were asked about the site.

Any more feedback is welcome.  I just need to make the site perfect for converting and let god warm up North America so I can start selling big time.
