Nice site,

A few minor things I would look at.

I would make your logo "top left in header" also work as a link to your home page, many sites do this and saves time when looking for the home button.

I also found  that the when I landed on your home page the alternating pictures in the header kept distracting me from finding where I wanted to navigate to. It kept pulling my eyes up instead of finding a target to click on.

Don`t know if you thought about this but it would be cool if you had one of your experts do a series of short videos on proper form when using your equipment.

Best of Luck

I like the videos idea for the site.  You could create a series of short 2-3 min videos that you post on YouTube and then embed them onto your site.  Videos that explain the benefit of using that particular equipment.  For your video uploads to YouTube, be sure to include tags for the keywords you are ranking for.  And put your keyword as your title for the video.  Include keywords and a link back to your site in your description as well.  Lastly, be sure your url is on the bottom of your video as it plays or on the last screen of the video.

I too, like the site and agree that the changing banner is just distracting and serves no purpose designed that way. I went to another page and saw the plain blue-gray color without the picture and it just looked weird.

I really like Aurora`s idea of the embedded videos. That`d be a really useful selling tool.

One thing I find incredibly annoying is these so-called dynamic pages where pictures change for no reason other than it somehow promotes alleged visibility to search engines. When I was on your home page, I clicked the big green bounce ball, and remembered that visual image.

I went to the "other equipment" page, didn`t spend long, then went back to the "home" page. Remembering the big green ball, I was surprised that it had vanished. I couldn`t remember exactly what I`d clicked, thinking I`d clicked "exercise balls." But, no help there.

I suppose you could keep the concept, and perhaps it`s only I who remembers visuals better than text, but it`s a thought.

The site seems a bit slow...sludge-like on my DSL line, and I wonder if perhaps it`s these changing images. Not sure, but it was a little distracting. I`d opt for either a faster site in general, or if it takes awhile to download the first time, have it move quickly from that point forward.

In FireFox, even changing tabs from here to the site page took a second or so.

All in all, a nice, professional-looking site. :-)

Aurora, Craig,

Thank you for taking the time  and viewing the site, your suggestions are great and i will change the top changing picture and just have one as opposed to the three changing. Craig, on the product changing on you, what i have done is created a look that each time a person clicks on the main site, the products in that catagory will change for each viewer. The product group stays the same, just the picture changes. I will look nto the video idea and see if these "pros" would do a video. If not, i will look for someone else.

Thanks again for your thoughtd and ideas

Richard

Richard,

1)
I`m confused about having this in the keyword meta tag:

http://www.fitnessequipmentguru.com/googled2835bfeb2e1bbba.html

Do you actually want to rank for that URL? I`m guessing no.

2)
There`s quite a bit of theme bleeding going on in your home page.
This is like shooting yourself in the foot if you want to minimize
your spend on search engine rankings.

3)
Do you have a solid plan on how to start ranking
for the terms you do want traffic from?

Let me know if you want any help with that.

A fundamentally nice looking site, but the million dollar question is,what is the point of a super website if no one knows it is there.you should not have so many products on the same page then load it with text as well, apart from confusing the search engines you will also confuse and frustrate your visitors with to much information on the same page. lead your visitors from page to page and you will leave them wanting to read on and investigate your website further.
but again, basically a nice site, just keep it simple.
