Please offer your harshest (but honest) criticism of my updated website:

http://www.pilothousefilms.com/

I`m interested especially in how quickly the videos load and whether or not they stutter or pause during play.

Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Nate

Hi Nate :-) Still a great idea!

Oddly enough, the front page loaded slow and in "parts." Each element took a bit of time to load (eg., quarter second) making a sort of patchwork effect. A little distracting and I don`t know why that would happen. It doesn`t look like they`re graphics or anything, but it was weird.

I`m using Firefox, and opened your site in a tab. When I clicked back on this tab, the same stepped reload took place.

Videos on the Portfolio page loaded nice and fast. But I have a problem in that I was looking at a video, then looked to the left to read about it. When I got done reading, the video had stopped. I wanted to see it again....and couldn`t replay it, or at least couldn`t see a quick way to do that. :-)

Then I noticed the "Services" page, but only from the home page and because I was clicking around. Those videos are different from the Portfolio page. You should have a link (and short description) on that page back to your services. Maybe below the player, something like, "Click here to see more videos and our services."

On the Jolt services-page video, I think put up an hourglass. The initial image loads quickly, but there`s a pause before it "begins." The pause is long enough that it almost had me thinking there was only 1 image.

As with the others, it`d be nice to have some nominal control over the videos to play them again or stop them.

Nate, I didn`t see any of the problems that Craig did with the videos, but I did see the patchwork assembly of the home page.  I`ve seen this on other sites as well, so I suspect that it`s the nature of the application that you used to make the site.  It`s slightly annoying, but mercifully brief.

The web pages load slowly.. in pieces because of the graphic slices, add the swf load, I expect.
