I have a business designing and handcrafting a line of women`s accessories, almost all that are made by me, and me alone. I do a lot of craft fairs and events, and my number one pet peeve is, "Oh, you know what you should do? You should make [dog collars, lunchbags, hair ties, dog bags]"

I can`t stand getting those phone calls where they ask you to hold for an important message...ummm excuse me...but please don`t call me and ask me to"Hold"

And I don`t think you should have to push at least "99" buttons just to get a live person on the line.........good customer service has become very hard to find.

And ... those phone calls when someone calls you, then asks "Who is this?"

Wow, good to know I am not alone. Could we just keep this going so I have a place to vent EVERDAY!!!!

Webline, you hit the nail on the head with the drivers, I never thought about it such simple terms. Slow = Idio and Fast = Maniac.

Craig, thanks for the good laugh! But please don`t pick MI!!!

Also, I have already made up my mind that I am not going to do this. Does anyone ever have a bazillion things to do on their lunch and get behind all the (please don`t take this badly, I love old people, they are who we get our stories and wisdom from, but), old people on the road and in the stores? Ever notice this? I`m beginning to wonder if there is a senior citizen special between the hours of 11:30 and 1:00 at all the stores I shop at that I`m not aware of.

What should take a few minutes seems to turn into an eternity. They are all retired, they have all day, why do they all go to the store at lunch time? Is there a reason? Does anyone know? When I retire I am going to limit my shopping hours to 9-11:30 and 1-5, or evenings. UGH!

Ok, sorry, I can`t be done yet. I wish I could just post all of my peeves, but I would be sitting here for days.

I must look like a door opener. This weekend, as I am approaching the door at a Meijer Gas Station, I see a group of several people coming from the other direction. Isn`t the right thing to do as I open the door and start to enter the store to keep my hand on the door so the group can grab the door and keep it open as they enter, versus, just walking in and letting the door slam in their faces?

Well, what do they do, every single one of them, not a one reaches and takes the door from me to keep it open so they all can get in the store, they all walk right around the open door and thru it as I stand there holding it. Who teaches these people this stuff. Do I look like the door holder? Do this think Meijer Gas Stations have friggin door people to let them in and out of the store? Who teaches these people this stuff.

God, I think I am letting the little things get to me. . .It`s monday, and I`m still thinking about this!

LOL to funny. I agree with you on the old people in the stores. I will not go to the store on Tuesdays between 12 and 2 because 3 times now I`ve gotten stuck behind this lady that talks forever.......or if I have to go on a tuesday and there is no way to avoid it..I`ll avoid those times or make sure if I see her in the store to move faster so that I can beat her to the register.

Debs, to funny, I wondered if I was the only one noticing that! I feel so bad, but, I can hardly handle it. I always seem to get behind the slow ones driving in and then in line and standing in the middle of the aisles and you can`t get around!

I wish I had a megaphone that I could scream "it`s the pedal on the right!" so that they would get going, OMG, I`m going to have a stroke!!!. . .LOL

CDSommers, way to cute of stuff! I know exactly what you mean about the craft shows and people trying to tell you all the stuff they think you should be doing. . .

There is always one that wants to try to tell us what we need to do different and to tell the truth, we have pretty much covered all the suggestions. We do 200+ craft and trade shows a year and you would think we have seen and heard it all, but, it always seems like I continually am blown away by something someones says or tries to tell me. . .

Of course, don`t get me wrong, I LOVE my customers asking me to come up with new things. I have even had them bring me competitors products and ask if I could make it for them. . .

Aww, you young folks may be faster, but we old ones are canny! See, by talking a lot it serves two purposes. The first is that we never get to talk with many people anyway, what with bein` stuck in the nursing home or tossed out on the streets by our kids.

Secondly, though, to get the benefit of all the stolen goods in the store, we need to be sure there`s nobody around at checkout time. Who would suspect seasoned citizens of running the entire gray and black market in the United States? The problem isn`t gettin` the goods, it`s in moving them across the checkout line to sort of launder the goods, make them legit, in other words.

So next time it seems like you`re having to wait forever, you may`s well just leave because the transaction won`t happen until there only are old people in the near proximity. And just remember, you`re likely seeing a major crime kingpin (or queenpin), you just don`t realize it!

Nice try Craig!

So, I`ve been thinking about this more and more and I think you hit the nail on the head. What most of everyone`s frustrations with the american public seems to be is lack of manners. How did this happen? What is wrong with people?

Also, maybe it boils down to Stupidity or Ignorance. As my husband keeps telling me, there is a difference. (Craig, this one is for you, what is the difference?). . .LOL. I know you`ll have a good explanation here. Or maybe just commen sense and peoples lack of using it that I find so frustrating.

OMG-another pet peeve. I should never had started this thread, I`m finding I have way to many of them. . .Maybe I just try to think ahead to much and expect others to also. For instance, every single morning I stop at the local post office to check my PO box. The PO is not open yet, but, anyone that pays attention would know that it can be a busy little place in the morning. It is kind of a congested area, just after the main intersection in town and just before the corner of the cross street that leads to the local high school. We have over 2000 kids in our high school, so not a small school!

Anyway, there are 3 parallel parking spots on the street. Every morning, If no one else is there, I pull forward to the first spot, leaving 2 for others to pull into behind me. It is not the closest to the mail boxes or the door, but this way, anyone else wanting to park can easily pull up behind me. It is horrible when someone pulls up and parks in the third spot and you have to get around them and into one of the spots in front of them. I can`t tell you how many times there is no one parked in any of the spots and the car in front of me pulls up and stops in the last spot and there I am sitting behind them, stuck, not able to get back out to get around them. Are they IDIOTS? Why wouldn`t you see there are 2 more empty spots in front of you and someone behind you wanting to pull up, geez, pull up another spot. . .I JUST DON`T GET IT!
