I was wondering if any of you have thoughts on best payment methods. I have a membership type service I am offering, so there will be monthly or yearly payments. What would be best? PayPal, Google Checkout, other merchant services?

You really can`t beat PayPal for convenience and usabilty. I`ve investigated and tried other payment options, but in my opinion, nothing comes close to PayPal.

The best is a combination of them... PayPal or Google checkout PLUS a merchant account.

However, if you are concerned about paying a monthly fee for a merchant account, you might wait until you have enough repeat business or sales to fund a merchant account.

So then the question is... PayPal or Google Checkout? Which would you all say is better?

Paypal still has fees associated with it, but is very good. Google Checkout is free depending on what you spend with your Google Adwords account if you`re using that.

"For every $1 you spend on AdWords each month, you can process $10 in sales the following month for free through Google Checkout."
