SuN is a great website.   So many entrepreneurs in one spot.

I want to start a real, self sustainable business.   Already have the idea, the back bone, and the funding lined up.

I need two or three partners who actually want to make $$$.   I do not want to have some deep philosophical debate on the best way to do X.  I want two or three people who actually want to make money and build something that will build substantial wealth.

Do I have any serious startupers in Sun?

You'll need to give people a clue about the idea before they'll know if they are interested.

Also, if you're thinking you can't talk about it in public it's probably too easy to duplicate and not worth the effort.

No problem.  Before I begin, I will offer a bit of insight and possible explanation or even defense of the idea in advance.  Allow me to retort:

so you come out and say you have an idea to start a business.  The first thing people ask you is of curse, what is the idea.  Most people are expecting to hear some awesome elaborate, complicated, business that above all HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE.  that is what people want to hear.  I thought this was the way to start a business, and in fact, i even tried a few that nobody had thought of.  everyone i told about them said that is awesome, greatest idea i have ever heard.  you will make millions.  guess what?  all failed.

Now, i read a book that I would highly recommend called The Knack.  it is written by some author who used to write about small businesses for Money magazine.  Here is one of the greatest pieces of advice in the book.  Don't try to invent, the wheel.  He said you want to focus on a business that is out there, in fact, you want to focus on a business where there is a bunch of competition in business because it means that it is probably a low failure rate, easy to run, highly profitable, and YOU ONLY HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT A BIT BETTER, and you win big.  you don't have to educate an entire market, because the market already exists...

Ok, so now having said that, my idea, and i think i have a better way to do is merchant services.  credit card processing is part of it, but the how is the secret sauce...  this is a real business that could easily make big money.

Who wants to build something sustainable and profitable?
