I was reading somewhere today, but do not remember where, that if you have more then 100 links on one page that some search engine crawler stop indexing this page. I have a Site Map page that has more then 100 links.

Is this page hurting me more than it may help me with search engine?

While you have a site map page, you should have a link to it from your home page.

Oops, sorry... don`t know how I missed it.

You have google analytics... and google site map? When you check those reports what is said about the pages that are indexed? about your traffic?

I just added the sitemap.xml the other day. So far the link list in Google does not show all the pages http://www.google.com/search?q=site:photo.hlehnerer.com&hl=en
I think the last time I looked at this list it was longer. Maybe because I submitted a new sitemap.xml? Should I remove the sitemap.txt that includes only directories? The sitemap.xml includes all pages. Do you think my Site Map page is hurting may indexing because it is so long?

Ok the index list from Google is back to normal. So it looks like it is not a problem for the indexing.

Hurting.

Make sure you`re following the Google Webmaster guidelines when creating the page:

it is true, think about the person who read this list of links, he or she will not be ablye to visit them all. so if it is not good for the reader its not good for google
