I don't have any experience of PPC, I am just doing organic SEO and it is good for getting keyword ranking, traffic, and also its generate leads for business, but it is a long term process if you want the instant benefit you have to go with PPC.

SEO is more effective than PPC. Organic results are more trusted and recognizable by users.

PPC offers a new site a quick start, but with less efficiency than a web site created.
As SEO starts to pull in traffic for some keywords PPC costs can be reduced and used for fresh campaigns.
Also all the keyword and geographic data of the PPC if used properly, helps the site better and better SEO PPC for further refining.

Goggle and Yahoo both have click cost estimators that can be very useful in making your decision.   Mine were relatively expensive ($4-$5 PC) but if yours are lower or you have a big budget it's worth a try.  Both will let you set up a small account, $100 or so, and if you do this do some research on the best time to launch your ad so you get the most bang for your buck.

Since I explored the world of PPC I NEVER click on paid ads when I am searching for something.  Casual browsers can use your funds fast.

Good luck.

Go for SEO first and wait until you get enough exposure. Then go for PPC to gain profits.

SEO and PPC are both beneficial, but SEO being a more holistic approach helps in better promotion of your company and product than PPC. PPC being a paid service would although give you a visibility, but on only limited search engines where you have applied for PPC only. SEO if done properly will help you get better ranking in almost all search engines as all work on almost similar algorithm.

What i would suggest you is initially go with PPC as you will need some amount of traffic to your site. While doing this also focus on SEO which may get your free and quality traffic later on.
