Hi everyone,  I want to open up a online retail store.  What do you think about Yahoo small business?  Have you had any experience with them or can you recommend another way to go.  I was also interested in the MSN shopping stores also but I didn`t find much info.

djproc... so you want to pass your music (you wrote it) to others for a fee? OR... you compiled a large amount of music and want others to have access to it.

I guess we need you to take a little time and create a sort of introduction to the situation, and problem you are trying to solve.

I hope you can return to fill us in.

Yes,

I have an online broadcast and a very extensive library. I would like to offer for sale the music that I play, but to get a license agreement for each and every song would be staggering. I was hoping that theres some kind of way to blanket the entire library with 1 or 2 agreements. This may be a pipe dream, but dreams can become realities...can`t they?

Basically you want to be the next Napster. My advise is to research Napster`s business model, that is of course the model they constructed after going about things the legal way. Concentrat on finding out how they obtained their licenses to distribute music. Whatever you do you have to make sure that its beneficial to the music labels, from which you would obtain the necessary license for distribution.

I think the market is fairly strong enough to handle another music distributor.
