We have a new business and are trying to build traffic.  We are wondering the best way to build regular new traffic.

Do oneway links work?
Which links work best?
Do you have to pay for oneway links?

Thank you and I am excited to get your feedback.

oneway links of course help, but where is the question

if you offer something bloggers can talk about, buy review to your site (each come with 1-4 permanent links), review can start from $1 up to $40

i was asking for $2 when my blog was pr0 , now its pr3 i will start asking for $4 for start...
submit to free directories , but the one ask for link back

last thing get pr2 and up

best luck,

Hi, a great way to get one way links is to write articles and submit to article directories. you can also do social bookmarking, such as digg and propeller ( check our http://socialmarker.com for a great tool) there are many ways to get one way links and it defenitely makes a big difference for how you rank in the search engines.

Hi GratitudeWave,

Have you tried writing blog entries and then submitting your blogs to blog carnivals (like at www.blogcarnival.com)? They will then share a link to your blog entries with others.

Also, by including links to other sites in your blog, you`ll generate buzz and word of mouth.

Hope this helps.
Melanie

I would say NO! Please read all of this and learn from my mistakes.  I own 2 websites: www.MoonTownCafe.com and www.SportingHelp.com
MoonTownCafe is for Poets & Writers (2008 Writer`s Digest Best Poetry Website) and SportingHelp is for learning about sports (Wiki based).

I could talk to you until the cows come home about SEO.  On Google (for MoonTownCafe) we are optimized for:

free poetry contests #2
children`s poetry contests #1
teen poetry contests #3

And many more.  Take a look on google to see for yourself.  This took so much work to achieve.  I paid for SEO but wasted over $1,500.  It turned out I knew more about SEO then they did.

A few years later, I designed SportingHelp.com using Wiki software.  This is unbelievable.  I made a page for a local Karate studio, and within a week we were #2 on Google for "chesapeake karate".  I just tested a page for a friend who makes Mustang brackets.  Withing a week we were #3 on Google for "mustang licence plate brackets".  This has nothing to do with Sports (our webpage is SportingHelp.com) but we went higher in the standings than my friend`s page (who has "mustang brackets" in his URL).  My friend is #12 or 13 for that phrase.  I also just copied and pasted his text when I made his page.  Bottom line is that one way links had nothing to do with this.

For www.MoontownCafe.com I used IBP for all my SEO work (just Google IBP).  For sportinghelp.com, I think the Wiki design has a lot of weight with search engines.  Email me at ceo@moontowncafe.com if you need more info,

Hello all,

I`m using IBP as well, and our ranking has increased slowly, but steadily for the past few months, even though our PR has stayed the same.  I`m happy with the program, we have come a long way, but I just wish results would come a little faster.

We got a good deal on our website -  www.cwsparks.com,  it was not very much $$ at all, and I`ve tinkered with it a little to make it friendlier.  BUT, before we went with IBP I was calling around to different SEO companies.  One lady was very emphatic that we would never rank in Google, because ours is not a custom built site.  She wanted $14,000 to rebuild our site, promising top 10 Google in no time....ehh, thanks but no thanks.

Kyle- what % were you able to reach on IBP?

Yes. It's better than two way links. However it's not easy to get this kind of links, especially some valuable links. You usually need to pay for them.

Article marketing is a fantastic way to get links to your sites. Popular article directory submission sites are ezine and article city. I also know blogs can be very powerful tools too. I'm a PR pro and one of my client gets 18% of her traffic from her blog (33% from her Facebook page!).

Powerful links come from news sites too. Get some PR for yourself and get some amazing link juice from powerful, journalistic sources.

Find your story idea, develop a solid media list and go for it! HandleYourOwnPR.com has some good advice for you too.
