VWWEBS,
Very weak come back. it didn`t tell me much...

Well, I wasn`t really trying to formulate a "come back".

My point is, both candidates have a history or baggage or positions or actions that we may or may not like. Unfortunately, the campaign process generates a whole bunch of rhetoric, facts are spun to persuade or scare voters, and the focus on real solutions is lost.

Candidates say what they think we need to hear in order for us to vote for them, they do not tell the truth. Truth and politics only exist by coincidence. And we can not turn to the media for the truth either.

But we do need to vote! In reality a President does not change the country unless he/she has a mandate from the voters (landslide election). Maybe even more important is your vote on who will represent you in local and State government and Congress.

Vote early and often!

Roland everyone has baggage, It just depends on the load.... I`m a light bagger when it comes to handling issues... and would want the same for someone that is commander in chief..
So what is everyone`s view on the AIG Bail Out? Last week they were bailed out, this week they spend $400,000.00 at a lavish resort, $52,000 was accounted for SPA treatments. Must be nice.... to waste other people`s money...

See this is the type of corruption I am against...

My biggest issue with the candidates and their parties is the lack of taking responsibility when things go wrong, or aren`t good, or when they`ve made bad decisions .... no one wants to stand up and say "I made a mistake, I was wrong", but instead it is always the other persons fault .... I think these people would get a lot more respect from us if they would just admit that, under the political layer, they are people that make mistakes and bad decisions once in awhile just like the rest of us .... for me, it`s hard to relate to anyone that wants to sell themself as always being the one that is right about everything, tells half truths to make themselves look better, and flat out lays the crap at someone else`s feet.

As long as that happens, and will probably always be so, I just don`t care for any of them.

ABSOLUTELY!
Come on you elected officials, finger pointing  is not a solution.

Politicians have perfected the art of finger pointing.... so they can dupe the voter into voting for them and not the other guy!

AIG Bail-out .... I don`t remember if I posted it on SUN, but AIG already used $61 billion of the loan AND they are eligable to participate in the $700 Billion Bail-out!

Lehman Brothers is bad too........... before the went into bankruptcy they paid top exec... Millions in bonuses!

Yeah..

McCain is the man to save the day...open your eyes, Bush put us in this mess, McCain will make it worse.

Everytime a Republican resides we end up in debt...how convenient is that?

OBAMA / BIDEN `08

Actually thats not true.

I believe under Ronald Regan`s Presidency that the National debt went down.

Regan was a Republican.

I don`t believe any one person (not even a president) is responsible for the rise or fall of the economy.  That is a  lot of weight to put on one`s shoulders.  I believe it is a multitude of current and past presidency and congress actions that cause the turbulent economies.

URVA,
I think that the president has alot of influence on our economy. Not only does he have influence he`s that one that can veto a law or pass the law. In Bush`s case, his plans was to put us in this mess, WHY? because remember he wasn`t elected president! he stole his way into presidency just like he stole from all of us. From what I understand, he bankrupted one of his father`s oil wells. What makes you think that he wouldn`t do the same to the USA? See every person has a character that follows them around, the person was born to be a looser, it doesn`t matter what type of suit he wears, he`s still a looser... as the saying goes, if you shave a monkey and put him in a tuxedo does it change anything? No he`s still a monkey....
Now! will OBAMA get the job done?
Yes I believe so... Just, no in one term... Come on McCain was a Joke and so was PALIN...
As a matter a fact read this article.... on McCain... He was never a POW prisoner, See what I mean, he was not elected president and was already lying about his status..

ERIN! I FEEL THE SAME WAY... I KEPT GOING OVER TO CNN JUST TO CHECK THE STATUS... MCCAIN CONCEDED EARLY...
