Saved myself 30 cents a gallon by filling up on Friday when I started seeing the price increase news online...

We are now at $4.19/gallon. This sucks. The whole weekend sucked! LOL

We got rained out here in MI. All our shows where shut down, cost me huge sales this weekend, it was a mess. Everything flooded, UGH!

Oh, Pam that`s sad you`re event was shut down.  And yes, the gas situation is bad. We just got the fierce winds.  Trees were going down everywhere, traffic lights out and accidents all over.

But aren`t we glad we`re not in Texas??

Janie, being in Texas would be horrid! I feel so bad for them, I can`t imagine having to leave and then coming back to see what is left, if anything. And the cleanup, just awful.

We had 5 shows this weekend and only one was able to open and it wasn`t great. This is the first time ever, that we have lost an entire weekend, so I am just looking at it that it only makes all the other weekends, good or bad, look even better. While it cost us a lot, I`m grateful that we didn`t loose any product or tents or any setup gear. One of the shows was flooded and some pretty bad winds came thru two of them. Lots of people had their tents and product destroyed, so we were lucky.

I feel bad that everyone lost out on sales, not just myself, I have a few helpers that are really counting on this right now to stay afloat, so that is not good, but, we are looking forward to this weekend. Getting stuff dried out and ready to go again.

I have some friends that are also in the Jerky business and I`m guessing it was not good for them either. They were at the flooded show. They probably have tons of Jerky on the shelf now, I got an email on Sunday and they were offering some pretty good sales on Jerky if you ordered online.

Gosh Pam, I`m sure the loss of sales was bad!  Did you lose event fees too?  So, you have a friend that is in the jerky business?  Sorry they had problems too.  Send me a pm who they are.  Are they a manufacturer or just selling jerky at events?  I am interested in knowing.
Thanks,
Janie
