Hey guys, I just stumbled on a great little article about providing online-based employee perks for small-fry firms.

http://www.gotvmail.com/newsletter/01-2008/how-to.html

It`s got some pretty interesting links.

Great article. The vmeals tip in particular should help, as I’ve got guys in different places. It’d be fun to have a videoconference lunch, everyone eating vmails during the meeting, haha. :P

I dunno...it strikes me as interesting that people use the word "benefits" to mean "necessary," these days. As I recall things, there used to be a time when there were too many businesses and not enough employees---people to do the work.

To attract employees, businesses began offering various perks and benefits, such as health insurance, vacation days, and so forth.

Nowadays, it seems to me we have too many people looking for work and not enough businesses (jobs) to meet that demand. To that end, why does a small business "need to" offer benefits along the lines of their enterprise competitors?
