Since you say that you are a 501c3 - I assume that you have filed your request with the IRS.

If you`re looking for grants- most will come from organizations who support the work you are doing, so that`s where I would begin my search.

As a business, grant and government relations attorney, have you obtained your 501(C)(3) designation first with the IRS?  If so, I would then research a number of foundations, trade associations and federal, state and local government agencies that may provide funding opportunities.  With the new stimulus package passed by Congress, there are a lot of solicitations that will be forthcoming to assist government entities with a variety of health and human service areas.   I would also create a fund raising campaign for targeted donors to obtain contributions that they can write off for tax purposes.  This is always helpful for key benefactors.

Also, make sure that you are even eligible to respond to certain grant solicitations.  A majority of times you may not even qualify.  This is always a big mistake that most non-profits face.
