I would recommend either that Wordpress/WP E-comm route, or setting up a Shopify store.

You should be able to get decent-looking results if you use a base theme.

You can also look around at themeforest (http://themeforest.net) for some inexpensive templates.

Good luck!

Setting up a business online is one of the best ways to to earn money at this age. Whilst there are a lot of things that are needed to be set up, I believe that the web hosting company you'll choose would sufficiently meet your standards as well. It should be within your budget, and the service must never compromise quality. I have found this site,  where they provide honest and free website maker reviews. It really helps people who are planning to open an online business or an e-store, make a good first step.

Take some time to checkout Dydacomp's SiteLINK solution that offers backend inventory management with the Multichannel Order Manager to streamline all of your business process and help you run your store effectively. It will allow you to streamline your order processing, inventory management, shipping, and accounting needs!

Hope this helps!

If you are looking at LOW PRICE and SHOPPING CART combination, remember you should follow PHP and MySQL combination because both are free. And hence comes Joomla and WordPress; easy to manage, builds sites easily and quickly and tons of plugins and shopping carts available to include in your website. And after all that if you are not satisfied in end result, you can find a developer to tweak the plugins to your need; as these two frameworks are open-source.

Thanks PB

I tired an open source solution one and was not pleased.

You really need to know what you are doing, or pay someone to un-do what you did.

Sure, there are forums where people will give advice or snippets of code...but they are busy running their own businesses and cant hold your hand as you go thru.

I'm looking at Shopify as my shopping cart of choice, but there are others that seem comparible.
