I am curious...I have noticed more and more postings from potential non-profits startups (for a while there I felt very much alone). So I am trying to get a feel for a few things from those who are, in fact, thinking of starting a non-profit instead of a for-profit.

1) Who are you and what are you trying to do?

2) What are some of the biggest obsticles you are running into?

3) What are some of your biggest concerns?

4) Where have you gone (besides SuN) to find information pertaining to your particular non-profit venture?

Just curious to see if we are all running into the same issues...the same obsticles...the same frustrations. Also...hoping to find a common thread here at SuN...since the majority of SuNsters are for-profit entrepreneurs!

Still Curious?

Before this posted question session of Non-Profit testing....slips off the New Topic front page of great titles - I am Daniel Westcott. My idea is ChristianTableCharity. My method is a LogoLink on all my websites. My idea is to list EU and US Children`s charities on one site with a WorldCharity link for more choices. And if I say more you will need to sign a disclosure-non. Please consider posting all relevant articles and info, counseling, and service provider offers to the main thread at Non Profit Thread.........and thank you for asking the difficult questions. My greatest difficulty in launching my charity non-profit for the future of all nations, is that most of my friend, family, church people who have heard my idea, believe that  local charity giving is more important. And they have money. And I have only my dream.

Hi Leah:

I am in the midst of starting up a Non Profit Organization and am experiencing the same things you wrote about in the posts dated in 2006. I am curious to know if in 2011 you are funded and well on your way to being successful.
