Hello,

I need help with preparing bylaws and a revenue/expense report for a charity organization. I am applying for 501 c 3 status with the IRS?

Congratulations on starting a nonprofit.  You can find an example of by-laws at:

Also pick up a copy of Robert's Rule of Order.  This book will make handling your board meetings smoothly. 

If you visit score's website you can also find templates for preparing your revenue/expense report. 

A source I recommend to my clients is available form the Connecticut Association for Nonprofits.  It's an ebook titled:  Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in CT.  The information provided can apply to a variety of State but be sure to check the laws in your state for establishing a nonprofit.  It has some helpful checklists for you to utilize as you pull things together.
