people say that google dont consider them but still if you look on google webmaster tools you will see that on the links sectionthe no follow links appear there.
Google considers only dofollow backlinks for ranking. Yahoo and Bing considers links with nofollow attributes also.
hi everybody,
I am in the Internet Marketing field from last 4 years and from my experience I can say that all these search engines don't use no follow links for ranking purposes, however, Bing and Google follows the links and index the linked page (Google doesn't even index the page through a no follow link).

Yes no follow links are considered as link but they do not pass any Page Rank to the link URL. Most of the high quality blog website have no follow attributes but they can generate high amount of traffic for the link URL.
Do follow links helps to improve back links of your website and no follow links helps to improve link presence of your website in Search engines....... link presence is very important for a website to improve SERP
No follow tags are not mean that these are worth less. It is has some value like it is drive traffic to money website, gives potential customers too
yahoo and bing consider no follow links.
nofollow links are also consider but they are helpful to increase a visit. They are not helpful to increase the ranking of your website. So that we give the preference do follow backlinks more.
I think Google only considers nofollow links for page rank purposes. I think they still get noticed by the search engines, but go with dofollow links if you're really worried about SEO.
