Hi
In the past weeks there was a contest by Daylife. Developers had to use their news data to create applications. My entry for the contest was the Jaxly News Engine at http://jaxly.com. It allows users to do an indepth search based on country and date limits.
During one of my brainstorming sessions to figure out a new way to read news, I came up with the idea of allowing users to read news with their Del.icio.us tags. I created this application called "News served Del.icio.usly" at http://jaxly.com/deliciously based on the idea. Its still a basic prototype. If you don`t have a Del.icio.us username then you can try using my username `akashxavier`
Summary from my AppGallery page at appspot.com:
"The `News served Deliciously` application allows you to read news by your
Del.icio.us tags.
Delicious(http://del.icio.us) is a website that allows you to bookmark
webpages. It allows you to tag bookmarks by words you would like to
describe the webpage you bookmark. `News served Deliciously` allows you
to read news by your Delicious tags. Which means news is optimized by
what you like."
Any suggestions? Improvements to be made?
What would you give it - 5 stars or brickbats? And why?
Also if you like the "News served Del.icio.usly", please be generous to rate this application in the Google Appengine`s appgallery here. (I could submit this application there since it`s hosted on Google Appengine).
The Digital Inspiration blog too reviewed the app here (I don`t know from where they got to know about the app. I surely didn`t tell them about it). :)
