Google has changed the rules, links that "inorganic" are now considered spam. What is the point of bringing more of Google's attention to our websites? Please share your points

We have been talking to the web owners not to panic with the recent algorithm changes. First it was the words of Matt Cutts about “over-optimization penalty” that created a panic. Many of them thought that their website is about to get penalized because they have been extensively using SEO strategies to promote their website. We assured if you had extensively used white hat SEO strategies there is no way over-optimization can hurt the rankings. We had also highlighted the importance of clearing up the list of sites used for SEOing your website. Factors such as same IP address, link networks, sites carrying junk content never should link to your website.
I think, there is no need to fear with this update because it is for spammers or those who are using duplicate or poor content and building poor back links. I would like to say that it must be happen because with this update quality websites will get better ranks.
Google Penguin is the latest update launched by Google on 24th April, It is also known as Web spam update… Due to this update a lot of site get affected and loses their top ranking.

Google Penguin is the new update of Google launched on 24th April 2012, It is also known as Web spam update. The potential Penguin factors are:-
1:- Exact-match anchor text
2:- Exact-match domains
3:- Low-quality Content
4:- Keyword stuffing
5:- Footer links with exact match anchor text
Google's latest update - officially called Penguin - was rolled out on 24 April and is now fully operational across all Google sites. Google estimates that approximately 3% of queries will be affected by the Penguin changes.
In Penguin update Google focus on the link building techniques.Black hat techniques are totally banned by Google.Only those sites now survive in Google search results which are used the white hat techniques or apply relevancy or quality in their work.
Hi "fastmachine", To get the attention from Google, the content of your site should be attractive and unique. And for this, you need to write the same type of content. The content of a website plays a very important role in ranking of the web page.
