Hi All,
I`m not sure which place i should post this question.
I would like to have some simple packaging - such as a poly bag sealed with a paper label on the top half of the bag, for ingredient listings and name and such.

I would like to start selling at a local gourmet supermarket.

Where can I find this?  I`m looking for small costs.  Is there a better packaging I should look into?  Like a tape sealed bags?

Can you tell I really don`t know much about packaging?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

Hello vkbangus!

Welcome to Startup Nation! A quck search on the Startup Nation Marketplace for poly bags brought this up: Custom Bags . Thomasnet is also a good place to look.

I am currently working with a company called Flexo Transparent, my contact, Brian Mabry is on the ball and very helpful. He can help you find the right solution. Their prices have come in lower than other quotes I have received. You can call him at (716) 825-7710, he is in Buffalo, NY.  He is designing custom printed poly ziptop bags for my company.

I also started out with the concept of a cardboard header over poly bag but ended up going with a single piece printed poly bag to reduce cost and waste.

I hope this is helpful!
Good luck to you!
Rachel
