Web site looks nice and I like it and your product idea seems good too.  I think you need to consider a couple of things that should be done for all web sites.

1) You need to come up with a Privacy Policy Statement and post it on your Contact Us page.

2) On your testimonial page I would add a form to send you more of them.  I would tell them that you only publish testimonials that you have sent them an email to confirm it first.  And stick with this policy.  Your Privacy Policy should be post here too.

3) You need to add a TITLE and META tags for keywords and description to your source code.  This will get your site ready for search engines.  If your TITLE and META tags are not there, submitting your site will be a waste of time.

One last thought - why are not you selling this on the web?  This looks like the right type of product for Internet sales.

That is my two cents.  Good luck with your site and your product!

Bert,  Thanks for the input.  I guess I don`t know the right avenue for selling on the web.  If you hae suggestions, that is why I am here.  We do offer dircet sales on our website, however they are phone orders only.

I am going to work on doing some of the stuff you suggested in the mean time and I welcome any of your advise on selling on the web.  We do have them on ebay and a google search brings up the ebay and our website.

Thanks again, Trent

Here is an explanation of what I am talking about for your META tags:

http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=2167931

There are several SUN members that can do this for you if you need the help.

I think one of the easiest ways to sell a single or low number of products on the Internet today is by using Google Checkout.  You are the perfect account for their Buy Now buttons.  Up until the end of the year Google Checkout will not charge you for charge card processing too, that’s a hard deal to beat.  You can learn more by visiting:

http://checkout.google.com/sell

If you do start selling on the web, I would recommend offering a money back guarantee.  It goes a long way with buyers when they are unsure.

When it comes to shipping your products, I have written a free paper on the subject at:

http://www.BusinessShipper.com

This paper should help you think through the shipping cost process for Internet sales.

I hope this all helps and good luck!

Trent - have you considered using PayPal?   I`m still in the process of building our website, so we`re starting with PayPal (www.paypal.com) and if future sales growth justifies it, then we`ll move to a more robust solution -- something like Quickbooks that will easily interface with our Quickbooks accounting software.

Your site is very clean, attractive -- good format and good choice in color scheme (bright, bold) ... I think this has the makings of a good business venture!!  :-)

I would suggest unique titles and keywords in your meta tags for each page.

Also, link exchanges with related sites would help, such as pick-up sites, tool sites, etc, to generate more traffic.

Otherwise, nice looking site and easy to navigate.

I`d think twice about using paypal as a payment processor.  You cannot edit the checkout page.

I use PayPal - why would I want to edit the checkout page?

How is Google Checkout different from PayPal?   I took a quick look at it and it seems no better than PayPal -- and PayPal offers an array of processing tools like the Virtual Terminal.

And what do you mean by "you can`t edit the checkout page"?  The checkout page on PayPal is "customized" to the point of having your company name in the header of the page without giving the customer the feel of "PayPal".
