Hello everyone,

Well, my name is Sabrina and I am new to the SuN Community. You know I was on this site for about 1 hour wondering what in the world "SuN" stood for. I eventually figured it out all by myself. For starters I would like to say what a relief it is to find such a wonderful website. I am planning to start a Errand Service and I honestly don`t know where to start. I would like to find a mentor on here. maybe someone how could help me understand what I need to do to be able to get my business up and running. I watched the 10step videos and I learned a lot but you know it`s not as personal as having someone one on one getting to know you and understanding what you need. So if there is anyone out there who would like to be my mentor my arms are wide open

Thank you all for your time.

I would start within yourself ... get a piece of paper and write out your busines plan. It doesn`t have to be very long, just defining who you are, what you do, and how you`re going to go about doing it.

It`s a simple step, but it will give you a foundation to start from. No one can really tell you how to run your business. They can only offer suggestions along the way.

Hi Sabrina, Welcome to the forums :-)

An "errand service" is very close to a "concierge" or personal concierge business. You could do a search on the topics or topic text, to see what others have gone through in the related field.

Here`s a first result on only the word "concierge."

Greetings Sabrina!

Anyone that has started a business feels this way at first, but you are on the right path! Take the time to learn from others and implement what you want out of your business - in time you will find that business is taking off! Keep at it!

Welcome Sabrina!

I think and errand service is a fantastic idea. I`d start by jotting down some of the services you would offer and ask around to get an idea of what people would pay for such services.

Are you targeting businessess or individuals? Maybe you could market yourself as a `personal assistant` depending on what your responsibilites would be.

I`m sure you`ll find tons of helpful information here. Good luck!

Thank you for the vote of confidence I am sure I will do great. I have done some research on other errand service sites and I am at the point where I am trying to find key business assets. And I am also looking into funding. the only problem is finding funding for a small service is very difficult I calculated and I am estimating 5-10k. Anyone where I can find that kind of money besides in my dreams
